If anyone remembers that Wesley Scroggins idiot trying to get Slaughterhouse Five, Twenty Boy Summer and Speak banned for Biblical reasons, the ban has been partially overturned. Only partially, however; This seems like weak appeasement of both sides; The Biblically inspired censorship crew can point at the segregated and restricted-checkout book as "dangerous", and the people who actually give a damn about free literature, don't exactly have free reading privileges here.

When exactly are we going to wise up about censorship and remember what it tends to bring?

I read it years ago, and it certainly was dangerous. I took it to a night shift thinking it would last me through the whole 10 hours if I paced myself, but I couldn't stop and read it in about 4. After that I didn't have anything to read for the rest of the shift.
