Let's ship every member of the Tea Party over to Afghanistan. Let them fight for the freedoms they think only they deserve.

We should just buy some deserted island, throw them on it, and let them have their Christian Saudi Arabia.

Here's my theory: These people are more supportive of the war the the troops. The only troops they support are Good Christian™, white, straight, God-fearing solders. Any troops that are not like this are at risk of being too independent, i.e. being an individual. They're not just booing him for merely being guy, they're booing him for...well, not only because DADT didn't turn him straight like it probably "should" have, but because he's an X factor, and may risk the troops displaying their own individuality. Thus, destroying troop integrity, and make it harder to continue the war.
...But that's just my thoughts.

To be fair, like two people booed and it's not necessarily fair to judge an entire crowd by the craziest person in it*. Admittedly, the Republicans have a lot of crazies.
Also, isn't the formal name of Christian Saudi Arabia "Mississippi?"
*Unless it's a Michelle Bachmann rally, in which case it is completely acceptable, because the craziest person is probably on stage giving the speech.

No. As miserable as it may be, even Mississippi is not as ridiculous as the Teahadists want.

No. As miserable as it may be, even Mississippi is not as ridiculous as the Teahadists want. This is true, even accounting for them assaulting military personnel for belonging to the military.

And here I thought the Tea Party/GOP stood for small/no government interference/stay outta my business kinda stuff. Apparently, your business is your own unless you're gay -then all bets are off.
The Tea Party is a joke -they don't even know what they stand for (depends on which one of them you ask).

Bad phrasing on my part: I don't actually "think" that but it's what they (some of them) keep preaching. Basically the point I'm making is they're hypocrites and constantly move the goal posts on just what it is they stand for. Their position is as non-sensical as they are.

Ya know, I had two gay soldiers under my command. They "came out" to me because I assume they realized I wasn't a fuckhead who would turn them in. Honestly? After they came out to the squad, they performed better in the field. Not having that weight on their shoulders likely did them a world of good. Everyone in my squad, including the super religious guy, had nothing but support and nice things to say to them. I'll quote a conversation I had with one of them (in jest): Me: "So, since you're gay, that means you're sex starved and ready to bugger anything you can get your filthy mits on, right? I mean, that's what everyone is afraid of." Him: "Honestly Sarge? I'm attracted to a lot of things...but unwashed and stinking man-ass is not one of them. Besides, I'm more concerned about getting fucked by AK rounds than I am looking at you all's disgusting asses." Someone needs to tell these assholes to stop being treasonous and start supporting the fucking troops!

But we can't support the gay troops....they might turn Little Jimmy gay. And then R-Truth would have a field day with him and a big black man having sex with Little Jimmy would be bad.
Ironbite-yeah...I went there....DEAL WITH IT!
