No, women aren't attracted to rapists and murderers. The problem is that a lot of rapists and murderers are very manipulative, and the women they're with don't realize it at first. You hear it said about a lot of violent criminals: "He seemed like such a nice guy. Always polite, real helpful, went to work every day..."
Abusive partners are excellent at guilt-tripping those close to them. They prey on their minds, convincing the victim that they are the ones at fault. And much of society agrees. I can't tell you how many times I've heard a woman called "stupid" for staying with an abusive partner. But that's how abusers work. They make it difficult to leave. There are many reasons why a woman might not leave her abusive partner (and I'm using the example of a woman here, since it's women Vox Day is talking about). She might fear for her life. She might think it's her fault.
Try Googling "why doesn't she just leave." There was one article in particular that I think summed it up extremely well, and it used examples of both genders as the victim and abusers, and both heterosexual and homosexual couples.
As for why women are attracted to men who are "just assholes" and not actually abusive? Who knows? But I don't think it's any more true than men being attracted to women who are assholes, or men attracted to men who are assholes, or women attracted to women who are assholes. Really, I don't think this is just a "straight woman" phenomenon. That's the stereotype, but it's not really true.

This is so common that one of the diagnostic criteria for sociopathy is in fact being able to endear yourself to people. Which explains why, historically and currently, society is so fucked up. Well at least we now know the reason for Vox Day's extreme misogyny. He clearly has a rape fetish.

Does he define himself as a gentlemen? Because then I am very, very afraid of the day he follows his beliefs to their logical conclusion & decides to be an asshole.

Indeed. The only good sociopath is a dead sociopath.

Being homicidal towards one's own species isn't an evolutionary advantage, it's a flaw. Werrrrrl... There are many examples in the animal kingdom where dominant animals will eliminate their competitors' offspring. Lions are a particularly good example of this. There is an unpopular theory (which I, personally, suspect has at least a kernal of truth to it) that humans are wired in similar fashion, hence the reason so many cases of non sexual adult on child violence involve a step parent killing or harming a new partner's children by an earlier partner. Remembering that most of human evolution has occured in resource restricted environments, eliminating a competitor's offspring that might otherwise impede the fitness of one's own in times of stress makes evolutionary sense.

Indeed. The only good sociopath is a dead sociopath. I went to school with one, she's now a social worker. Nice to know you wish her, and other people with a mental disability, dead.

I feel really sorry for the kids she works with, then. You realize that sociopaths are incapable of empathy, so they manipulate everyone around them into doing what they want, and then discard them when they are no longer useful, without a shred of remorse. They serve absolutely no constructive function in society.

My cousin's first husband was so controlling, that he sat between her and her dying brother.

And that people with OCD are all germophobic neat-freaks who must have perfection? And that people with ADHD are loud and annoying and are really just undisciplined? Isn't generalization FUN!?

I still don't see why I should show empathy to people who cannot show it back, but if you want me to withdraw my statement I'll do so.
