I can understand how people could legitimately think this. I can understand how people can think that Bush waging war in Iraq was a good and righteous thing to do. But I cannot, for the life of me, understand how someone can belive both things at once, since they are, essentially, the same scenario. Only the President and the country are different. There was a time, in high school, when I first read Orwell's 1984 that I couldn't get my head around the idea of Doublethink. I simply couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to buy that people could simultaneously believe mutually contradictory things like that. Thanks to RR, those days are long gone. As I think I have already mentioned, what shits me most about RR is the way they take pride in their historical ignorance. Mussolini, anyone? For fuck's sake. Oliver Cromwell: Despite being dead for two years, he was dug up and beheaded and then quartered with the pieces being sent to four cities in England as a warning to others. I've seen his grave. It's literally a headstone.

Thankfully, I much prefer not to watch cable news Is that something else you prefer not to do whilst wandering around a store with the kids that don't exist? Indeed.

It's literally a headstone. Although Cambridge University likes to claim that he's buried in secret elsewhere in the University. One of those claims that's either slightly interesting or total shite, whichever way you look at it.

Anyone else notice that one of the people holding up the Col. at the beginning of that video looks a lot like the 9/11 hijacker that is supposedly alive (according to Alex Jones). I am wondering when the Above Top Secret types are going to pick up on this.

It's one of those things where the tour guide winks at you as if to say "We know where he's really buried, give me some money and I'll show you", but I really couldn't be arsed.
