Edit: Should probably update this to say that his death is confirmed, in case someone who lives under a rock happens to stumble upon the thread. Although there are conflicting reports which say that he's been captured alive. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-15389550The article has an image taken with a camera phone that allegedly shows Gaddafi dead or wounded. Personally, I hope that it turns out he's still alive, and can be taken to trial. However, I can't say I'll be crying myself to sleep if he really is dead.

Saw that as I was leaving for work 2 hours ago. AFAIK there's still room for doubt at this point, although it seems Reuters, Al-Jazeera and the AP are reporting him as dead. www.guardian.co.uk/world/middle-east-live/2011/oct/20/syria-libya-middle-east-unrest-liveI'll be watching Al-Jazeera to see if there's anything new. Edit: Al-Jazeera has the apparent body on screen for some time now. The Guardian is saying Libya's Transitional Council (the interim government) is declaring Gaddafi dead. So, unless presented evidence otherwise, I think its safe to say he's gone.

The various images being posted definitely look like him.

So how is Fox noise going to spin this one? Most likely they'll claim that terrorists assassinated a head of state.

Alright! Now, which country to invade next? What invasion? You been reading Fox News? We didn't invade Libya. Bush invaded 2 countries and killed 5000+ of his own men and we are still there. Obama hasn't invaded anywhere yet Bin Laden dead, Al Queda on the run, Gaddafi dead. It would appear it is possible to help oppressed people around the world without bombing them back to the stone age.

But...he declared war in Libya! Now we have to occupy it so that the brown people pick someone we like!/Faux Noise.
That being said, the scorecard is very telling in this case.
Ironbite-Obama is kicking ass and taking names....HARDKORE STYLE!

I was being a tad sarcastic. should I have made it more simple? "What country should we shake up while playing world police next?" Better?

How long will it be before Gadhafi is dead? Better this than chasing him around his country for several months then finding him in a hole in the ground!

Let's hope the new guys do a better job than Ghaddafi did. Still, all they have to do is keep the oil flowing and they should be perfectly safe from being bombed back to the stone age.

Uganda is a distinct possible, although Iran and Yemen are both crowd favourites.
