Brendan seriously bro. Stop it. We get it. You're trying to fit in by going the other direction. But it doesn't work because while we criticize America, we're not doing it the way you're doing.
Ironbite-though the self-destruction is amusing.

I have a very strong constitution because of my distrust of medicine and stuff like that. It's why I rarely, if ever, get sick during the year... and when they do happen, it tends to last only for a short while before I overcome it and gain immunity from that particular strain.
People tend to bitterly curse my ability to pretty much say, "Lol, fuck you, sickness!". And people start bitterly cursing even more when they discover I have no allergies! >.>
I haven't found anything I'm allergic to yet. :x So until I do, that statement stands. :<

Oh, I knew someone who rarely got sick (especially when he was a kid), didn't seem to have any allergies aside from mushrooms, and hardly ever went to a doctor. The other part of why he didn't go to doctors much was also not trusting them. This came to bite him in the ass later in life, as by time it was discovered he had cancer, of the type that grows slowly, it had a solid tumour filling more than a third of one lung, as all around his heart so it couldn't be operated on, and he had 20-30 separate tumours in his head (some the size of quarters). If he had trusted doctors and actually gone to see them when he had a problem he'd have discovered the cancer years, possibly decades (plural) earlier, and have managed to still be alive today.
Course, that wasn't the only issue that could have been treated far earlier had he actually trusted doctors and gone to them when there were problems. One time he cracked a rib, but didn't have it checked out until days (or weeks, can't remember) later. Another time he was snow tubing, heard a snap, couldn't find a broken stick, and kept snow tubing. The following week he went skiing, having to take breaks because his ankle was too swollen for the boot. Three weeks after that, which means a whole month after it happened, he was finally forced by the rest of the family to have it checked out, and found it was fractured. Considering all of that I'm somewhat surprised he went to a doctor when he developed diabetes when he did (though I don't know much of how that went as I was 6 months old at the time).
Please, people, remember that a doctor cannot do their fucking job if you don't trust them enough to actually tell them your problems and all symptoms! They don't know what hurts unless you tell them, they don't know something is uncomfortable unless you tell them, and for many other things they won't notice unless you tell them how it's changed. Yes, I know some doctors suck, but if your doctor is one of them find a different one. You may think you're perfectly healthy, but you very well might not be. Some of what seems minor is a symptom of something serious, and some things that seem very worrying are actually minor, but you cannot know how bad it is or what to do to treat it (or even get it treated) if you don't go to a professional who knows the complexities of the human body to get it checked out.

I don't trust doctors to a degree... but I do the usual checkups and do visit a doctor or ER as needed. If I don't get over a sickness in about two days or three, depending on the sickness, I visit the doctor or use something OTC to take care of it. Bones being broken? That's something I go to the doctor right quick about... don't care how I'm doing it, so long as I get there and get it taken care of so it heals properly. Stuff like that. You know, the general common-sense health-check. :U I don't completely stay away from docs. :/

Oh, well that's good at least. I suppose I jumped to erroneous conclusions because I've heard similar from people before who also then complain the doctors can't do their job when it was really because they didn't tell the doctor half of the problems. Sorry about that.
