It's possible. My high school accounting teacher didn't know she was pregnant. She wasn't showing, and she just thought she was going through menopause. Then she went to the hospital and the doctor was all "Surprise! You're in labor!" What shocks me about this story is the woman dropped the kid into the fucking toilet! What kind of mental case DOES that?! And you know that kid's going to grow up and ask about how s/he was born. "My Mom did WHAT?!" I guess it's possible in some infinitesimal way to mistake pregnancy for menopause, but that happens later in life. I was recalling in particular a story about a teenaged woman who left a newborn in the bathroom of a wal-mart. She also claimed that she didn't know that she was pregnant.

Is there an age limit on flushing your kid? I have an 18 year old that I need to get rid of.

No age limit; but they have to fit in whole.

Actually, there are some women who can go through an entire pregnancy without knowing it for several reasons. I saw a documentary about a woman who was preganant with twins and didn't know for a whole laundry list of reasons: She suffered from obesity, she lost a lot of weight but still didn't think much about the weight gain. She had an irregular period she could go for several months without a period. She had a tilted uterus so she did not feel the feti moving, and a few other things. This woman I think is just crazy.

You know, I think she was just trying to avoid the responsibility of having dumped the kid in the FREAKING TOILET.

Actually, there are some women who can go through an entire pregnancy without knowing it for several reasons. I understand it is possible to go through a full pregnancy without knowing it. I question the idea of giving birth to it and then denying it's yours.

I dunno. Is it possible that shock could have contributed to the denial? I mean, we look at it from afar and say, "How could you not realize it?" but is it possible to be that much in shock? I know shock victims don't necessarily behave rationally, and this would certainly be a case of irrational behavior.
Note, I'm not trying to justify what she did, I'm just asking if her defense is plausible.
