I can't take the death panel claim seriously because the term really does sound like something an over-the-top cartoon villain would come up with. I can just imagine Zordrak from The Dreamstone presiding over the whole thing and turning the patient into stone or feeding them to the green pool of hungry crab monsters whose name escapes me.

I'd say this dude wasn't serious, but it's hard to tell anymore. Yesterday I read a comment by this guy who says he thinks Obama is trying to get a "Soylent Green" type project going, which is the reason behind the "death panels". Come on... I really don't want to believe that anyone actually thinks that.
edited extremely late because I didn't see that I wrote "buy" instead of "by".

GOP Backed 'Death Panels' ...in 2003Pawlenty: Defeating Health Reform Will Lift GOPSo once again we have a religious extremist with a persecution complex, who will do everything he can to get his party back in power even if it means leaving millions without insurance - driving the republican party. I guess they tried the more middle of their party and now they will go back to trying the extreme right.

One thing I read somewhere that I can't find again (so I can't know if it was true or not) and that bothered me a bit was that Sarah Palin said that the "death panels" would kill everyone with psychiatric problems.
Does anyone know if she actually said that or not? Either way it's facepalm-inducing stupid.

No, she basically said that her son (who has Down's Syndrome) would have had to face one. So she HAS implied that the physically/mentally handicapped would face a denial of care under Obama, which is just asinine.

What I find despicable about Tim Pawlenty is that he does not see health care reform as a health care issue, he sees it as a political opportunity to regain Republican prominance in Washington. Fuck the people who could benefit from health care reform, it's more important to salvage wounded Republitard pride!

We should tell R.R. to set up their own "Death Panel", Buzzardhut and Mr.Mannn would easily and quickly throw most of the board under the bus. Since many of them pray for death everyday anyhow I can't see them objecting, hell it seems to be the dream of many of them to die by persecution. This would be their chance at an out, they didn't commit suicide, they took their life by order of the evil socialist Obama death panel!
Hey it is a win, win...right?

... Fuck the people who could benefit from health care reform, it's more important to salvage wounded Republitard pride! and votes...don't forget the votes they lost and that their jobs are in danger - it's never about the greater good with them - it's always about the money. How are so many suckers buying into this? offering a public option should be a no-brainer?
