Yeah, I've been doing some short story comics and to try to sell them to an anthology comic. Sent one in, but haven't heard back yet.

It's been longer than that, but the submission guidelines warned that it can be several months before they get back to you.

I know that for written short stories, it can be 2+ months for a response to arrive. Just to point out, individual submissions will have their own time tables.

And I'm discovering tonight I have trouble writing sexist dialogue. I mean, what I write comes out more as straw-chauvinism, which just doesn't fit what I'm going for. Or anything remotely good.

Or anything remotely good. ever read bukowski? lots of his asshole protagonists are extremely sexist too but its not strawman like. You can get in their heads and think about what they would say.
