(Bezron) Started out as a character in EQ in like 2000. I couldn't think of a name so I literally hit the name generator until I got something kind of cool and added a Z to it. I just kind of kept using it after that and now it represents my internet persona. The rest is just goofing off, and also because I like the shortened "Bez" because it evokes images of Dez Cadena from Black Flag (at least in my mind, where you all live).

My original name was "untilitsleeps", which is a Metallica song I was obsessed with when I created my account on here. I went on the IRC several times and people began calling me Sleepy. It was appealing, and it stuck.

Post by Bluefinger on May 24, 2010 9:11:29 GMT -5
My username is basically my net alias which I use wherever I go. It started off YEARS back when I decided I needed an online alias that I didn't have to change between every single site I wanted to go on. So, I thought long and hard, scrutinising between many choices and variations of choices, until I saw my own hand.
Back then, I used to doodle a LOT on my hands, and usually had all sorts of intricate patterns going on and a fair few smudges where I had rubbed off the ink. Which, of course, left me having blue fingers. So, I decided to go with a play on Goldfinger, and stuck with Bluefinger. I have been Bluefinger ever since then, both on websites, to games, IMs, etc. No difference with FSTDT.

Mine is the only nickname I got from secondary (high) school that I liked, so I kept it as an online alias.

Someone once called me the Lazy One when they were referring to me. I thought it was funny and it stuck.

One of my crazy exes used to refer to me by my first initial. I decided I liked the way it sounded, and decided to use it.
I have three or four other online aliases I've used over the years, but L is the most common lately.

Shifty, Shifty Eyes, Old Shifty Eyes are all nicknames of mine based on my last name. I decided the middle was a good screen name to use. It also more or less removes anonymity of the internet as anyone I know should recognize the name.

Rookie was the nickname given to me when I got to my first unit in the army. They called me Rookie because I was the new guy. It kind of stuck. As I kept moving I kept running into people I knew who kept calling me Rookie (or Rook, Rookster, and similar variants).

My username is my chosen nickname that I wish to possess offline, if only I could get over the sensation of deception if ever I am called it out loud.
