I'm always curious when I see inscrutable usernames as there's generally something behind it. I'll go first. Mine's a tribute to my favorite fundie.

I was in an amateur production of A Midsummer Night's Dream when I joined, and I thought that the "I am your spaniel" scene was hilarious. I also used to own a springer spaniel and she was a darling (but she passed away ).

I've been using this one on various forums for a while now, for two reasons. First, it tends to irk religious people and has led to rather interesting ad hominem attacks. The second being the discovery that "heretic" is derived from a word meaning "to think" in... either Greek or Roman, I don't really remember anymore. It strikes me as hilarious that anything related to intelligence (heretics, gnostics, etc.) was demonized by early Christianity, and doesn't seem to have changed all that much.
Edited to correct spelling.

Diablo II Act 2 merc. I mostly played melee chars, so I usually went with the might aura guy. The one I used on my best character was Haseen, and he'd always go kill himself. It just sort of took a life of his own, and I always grabbed "Haseen" for my merc. The mercs were actually really badass, it's just that they'd stupidly attack things like masses of cows or multishot lighning guys for an instant suicide. Before that I used ready4it, the idea being that if RR is going to automatically ban anyone that uses the same name on here as there, I might as well create a little confusion

Vyper was a character in a wrestling card & dice game that I played years ago. After that, I started using it as my name in various video and roleplaying games. The 'night' part, I added just because I liked how it sounded.
