Vypernight: I was in the car with my mom and heard a headdesk-worthy radio commercial about how McCollum's not conservative enough. Was it that woman who cheerfully tried to make Scott sound good with some of the dumbest B.S.? Even with a stewardess-voiced promo, it still sounds like shit. I laughed so hard I nearly ran a light.

Why would they want the US out of the UN? The UN allows the USA to essentially dominate international cooperation. Because the UN doesn't bend to our will.

Well, whatever happens around here, I'm too broke to leave the country so I guess I'm stuck with riding it out. C'est la vie for the low income bracket.

Yes, it was. It's a good think I was in the passenger's seat--if I'd been driving I probably would have hit something, I was laughing so hard.

Washington State is a little more reasonable. The Tea Party candidate for Senate, Chris Didier, was handily defeated in the primaries. The leading Republican was also-ran Dino Rossi, whose claim to fame is that he ran twice for governor against Christine Gregoire and lost. I expect Patty Murray to kick his butt.

Whelp, I can honestly say that if any of these dumbasses manage to make it far enough to cause another Civil War, I'll personally take up the mantle of General of the United States of America and kill them six ways to Sunday.

Yes, lets further lessen our children's educations, abandon our orphans, throw out rights of our disabled and elderly, and further run our economy further into the ground.
Sounds like a plan to me.

So, now, in FL, we're down to Scott, Sink, and pretty much Aerth.
Although none of them have addressed HR 25, which I feel is a major issue, I like Sink's holding the government accountable, as well as many of her ideas to help the economy.

not shocking for the teatards...also in the case of Rand Paul, he proves the old saying that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, his old man has the same batshit ideas, this is why I can't understand why people who claim to be "liberals" think Ron Paul is so great. Just because he spits out a nugget of truth every so often, doesn't mean shit if the rest of the plan batshit insane.

I think many liberals care about non-interventionalist foreign policy and personal freedoms and really don't pay much mind to the economy and such. Which is why the Pauls get so many liberal subscribers.

That's the thing that really bothers me, people don't seem to care about a big issue, the economy, when they really should be caring. I personally have alot of "libertanian" views, but at the same time, I hate libertanian views on the economy, because it has a "I got mine, fuck everyone esle" attitude about it.

This is the first time I've ever paid so much attention to the Governor's race, mostly because I hate Scott with a passion and want to do whatever I can to keep him out of office.
I leaning toward either Sink or Arth, though unless she does something completely moronic between now and November, Sink will most likely get my vote.

Even though I hate the Tea Party - with it's dilusional, faux patriot attitude, and we-know-the-constitution-better-than-anyone-else rhetoric - I would be exstatic if they won a few seats and we became more than a 2 party system.
This 2 party thing is NOT working, and it might wake some people up as to how important their vote can be.

Except that the Tea Party is just a social group that have put their stamp of approval on various Republicans. It's still a two party system.
