My mother was watching Meet The Press, and she typed this up for the fam. Sadly enough, these are the real platforms these people support.
I figured I ought to share it with my fellow American FSTDTers, as a heads up.
Republican (Tea Party) senators up for election this fall
Colorado: Ken Buck
-wants to eliminate energy and education departments from government
-says that separation of church and state is too strictly enforced
Kentucky: Rand Paul
-Critical of minimum wage laws and civil rights laws
-Supports cutting back on unemployment insurance
-Calls Medicare "Socialized Medicine"
Nevada: Sharron Angle
-No adoption for same-sex couples
-Privatize Medicare and Social Security
-US should pull out of UN
Utah: Mike Lee
-Supports changing the 14th amendment, "Birth-Right Citizenship"
-Repeal the progressive income tax.

Oh boy, here comes the second Civil War.
Well we better learn how to make IEDs, when somehow the secessionists manage get a hold of tanks.
But on a more realistic note: Those are some pretty far fetched platforms.
But then again everything is far fetched in someway or another.
Oh well if things get real bad, time to become an expatriot.

Given that I live in Alabama, regressive politics has ceased to surprise me. I see "Pull the US out of the UN" signs all the time.
