Back at the turn of the century the Pokemon and Harry Potter crazes were at their heights and countless fundiriffic articles attacking them were only a quick search away. And they weren't the only children's franchises under fire: often Dragonball, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and occasionally (for the particularly out-of-touch) He-Man were covered. But now... all this seems to have gone. Fundies don't seem to be attacking kids' media anywhere enar as much.
Anyone else notice this, or is it just me? Is it because they've been ridiculed so much that they've dropped the tactic? Is there simply a lack of major occult-themed franchises (Ben 10 seems to be the biggest kids' show right now, and it's science fiction)?
I kind of miss the good old days of sites like Demonbuster advocating the burning of children's toys, and Cuttingedge.org's hilarious analyses of Harry Potter.

There aren't many cartoons on things other than cable, now-a-days.

The Fundies never really did dig deep enough to find stuff to attack. Sure, they were all over Pokemon & the Smurfs, but did they know about Gargoyles? Fullmetal Alchemist? Really, any anime other than Pokemon?
Right now, I'd say the Fundies that attack cartoons & books are still busy with Twilight & Harry Potter. I also think they don't ever really get over the old stuff, & would fully expect "Pokemon is how they're trying to sell evolution & porno to kids" comment to end up in the archives soon.

I'm saying this as someone who has gone back and watched a number of cartoons from when I was growing up recently. New cartoons suck.
Most of them are mindless, inoffensive, unfunny and seem to serve no purpose other than flash colors at children to keep them sitting in front of the TV.
There's not a whole lot for fundies not to like, all the fun has been sucked out of them.
Though I am surprised we don't hear more about Avatar, or has that ended now?

Avatar ended a while ago, but there was talk of a sequel series.
I can be amused by Johnny Test, but other than that, I can't help but agree.

It's all because of their actions in the Nineties, to suck all the fun out of them. They got easily offended, and their prickles all came out, because of things like The Animaniacs, and Tiny Toons Adventures, and were promptly lampooned on those very same shows. Honestly a lot of fundies act like anything that isn't the Bible, or Bible related is of Teh Ebil. 9.9
It's ridiculous, really.
And this drive to make cartoons drek, drivel, and utterly unentertaining comes from parents not wanting to raise their own kids.

Actually, I'd say a bigger factor is the rise of Adult Swim and the like - before there used to be children's cartoons with appeal for older audiences, now there seems to be a rift between kid-only and adult-only. And also us growing up, don't forget that

Cartoon Network tried to create a system of blocks for different age groups, but it didn't catch on. Probably didn't help that all of the "teenage" shows quickly became even more mindless drivel than the "kid" shows.

I had a youth pastor once that was against Futurama because he thought Leela's tank top was cut too low.

If you wonder what fundies think about anime, look up Berit Kjos. She has a lot of rants about it.
Not every cartoon on today is bad. The Penguins of Madagascar are really kick-ass. (Yes, I'm in college, and I watch shows about commando penguins). And when it was still on, Danny Phantom was good. A lot of stuff that I remember being on when I was in late grade school/early middle school is no longer on or has gone downhill, though.
When I was in grade school, there was a show on PBS called Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat. I miss that show. That was a good show. I watched it every day after school. And Pokemon. I watched that whenever it was on.
But I'd like to see what fundies think of some anime- Kuroshitsuji comes to mind, or Axis Powers Hetalia. The latter would be funny to show to RR... see what they think of the portrayal of America.

It's not that they stopped caring about cartoons. They just have things that make them panic even more.

Cartoons are small potatoes when we have a BLACK MUSLIM SOCIALIST MARXIST KENYAN ANT-CHRIST for president.

They still cry over Harry Potter, Pokemon, pop music, etc. It just does not attract the mainstream media attention anymore because it's old news. The next time something else comes out that captures the attention of the youth and becomes more popular than Jesus ever could possibly dream of being -- the fundies will be on it like the proverbial flies on the proverbial shit and the mainstream media will be there to dutifully cover the story. But the old complaints never fully die it just gets ignored after it's no longer new. I received this comment not long ago: " godlesspanther Beatles were turning the youth of America at that time onto drugs and eastern beliefs and were doing LSD which opens you up to demons. It is a portal into the dark occult world where the devil and his angels dwell. Crowley was a Satanish plane and simple, burning in hell's flames right now for disobeying the Lord Jesus Christ." We can still find fundies bitching about Elvis, women wearing pants, -- and, no joke, the Earth revolving around the Sun.
