Hey! HEY! HEY! DEAR GOD, HEY! Say Wikileaks isn't a good thing? CHECK THIS OUT!!! www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11871641Now, i gotta ask you, how will N. Korea think of flaunting its stuff when it realizes China is not ACTUALLY at their side!! HOOOOO DAMN! THANK YOU WIKILEAKS! WOOH! I don't think it's gonna change anything, honestly. NK is already fucked up mentally. They already know China wasn't fully behind them already as they've had trade and good relations with SK while pushing NK at times to settle a peace

A conviction in a international legal court could probably close them down. And if they're declared outlaws by the Iclandic government, the US could arrest them forever as terrorists. And that will instantly stop them? Yeah, tell that to the Pirate Bay and those e-mail scammers from Nigeria. International courts aren't gonna do squat and you know it as well as I do. Yeah, because no one could possibly change wording in them, ever, so thus they are completely accurate.

Obama calls himself a democrat. Are you arguing he's a liar, because if so I agree with you. Isn't this supposed to be a site for skeptical folk, who like to see empirical proof before believing in something? If you honestly believe we should just "have faith" that the government has the best interest of the people at heart without having unlimited access to everything they are doing at all times, y'all might as well be creationists. Well, yes, but at the same time we don't go off hinges at every single thing without trying to understand it. Because you have a beef with a political leader, just because, doesn't mean everyone else should too, just because

Obama's no worse than any other leader. I just used him as an example. The fact remains that a lot of people seem to think we should have "faith" (ie belief without proof) in the government's benevolence.

If you honestly believe we should just "have faith" that the government has the best interest of the people at heart without having unlimited access to everything they are doing at all times, y'all might as well be creationists. So, for instance, in order to understand agricultural policy, I need to know that John Doe and Jane Margerie work in Russia for the CIA? Because I totally can't see how that kind of transparency could hurt anyone. Obama's no worse than any other leader. I just used him as an example. The fact remains that a lot of people seem to think we should have "faith" (ie belief without proof) in the government's benevolence. Because it is our country. Our home. Through thick and thin, my traitorous buddy. On the other hand, this is equally bullshit. Best obey your new ant overlords as you work in their sugar farms- you need to have faith in your country's benevolence!

Hey maybe not straight up allegiance to the state, but the general hope for a better future, right?

Hey maybe not straight up allegiance to the state, but the general hope for a better future, right? That is not even slightly similar or in any way related to transparency.

Exactly, I was going off-topic. So about transparency. Well let's see how long far it can go without sinking ships (or breaking bones).

I sure do love how the moment AA shows up, worlder goes from mildly annoying to complete idiot.
What? You want me to comment on the actual topic of the thread? No thanks.

Aww, . That's mean. But accurate. It's true, my presence tends to polarize people. At another board I drove a Hannity "OMG Arab terrorists gov needs to protect us" style neocon to the point where he said we should refuse citezensip to Arabs and make it conditional for blacks. He also said there was nothing wrong with the government in V for Vendetta. I wonder how far I can push worlder. He already supports China, maybe I can get it up to NK or Stalin.
