That first article you linked to. The one from the Guardian? Ironbite-how in the sam hill does it prove your point you idiot? A normal civilian murderer in Arizona was executed, a cop murderer was not.

....WHAT!?
Did you read the article in question? It clearly states that Arizona had to go to an outside supplier, in the UK, wouldn't name the supplier, a judge ordered a stay of execution till the supplier was named, it was named, the stay lifted, the dude put to death. Exactly how, except in your cracked brain, does that equal what you just posted?
Ironbite-how?

Got a follow-up for that second video, AA? Direct question.

Another direct question for you, AA: Can you provide solid statistics (multiple studies would be nice, but at least find one from a reliable source) which indicate that police brutality/excessive force is anywhere near as common as you make it out to be? Likewise (direct question, again), can you show me any statistics that prove that the police in the US and Canada are more corrupt than in most other countries, or even amongst industrialized nations? Random news stories don't prove shit, I want real studies/stats here, and from a reputable source.

I have no idea, but given their tendency to cover stuff up as illustrated in many of these articles I'd imagine they are sky high. I do not have any idea how to find reliable stats on that though. And as far as I'm concerned, cops are actually better in the US and Canada than any country I can think of. That's no reason at all to tolerate their abuses. Should DADT not have been repealed because homosexuals have it worse in Saudi Arabia?

A few articles about cover-ups (and yes, we do all realize that these things do happen) hardly proves anything. Fact is, you don't have the evidence to back up what you're saying.
Earlier in the thread, you said that the only thing that comes close to the evils of the cops in US/Canada is the Vatican, in terms of cover-ups.
Please don't put words in my mouth. I've never said that the police force in Canada/US is perfect, nor that we shouldn't work towards correcting the problems that do exist. No one here has ever claimed otherwise.

You're aware people usually sit on death row for more than two months, yes? And that a murder trial usually takes more than two months?

I said police as an institution, not specified to North America. I'm sure you did. Difference is that when teachers, doctors, or anyone else does something evil and gets caught, they are held accountable for their actions both by the legal establishment and the professional one they belong to. Cops almost never are found of wrongdoing by either, leading me to believe that there is a serious problem with the police establishment, rather than just a few "bad apples." The ONLY professional institution comparable to Canadian or American police forces is the Vatican who will go to any lengths to protect pedophile priests rather than allow them to be held accountable for their actions. Yes, I'm quite sure you did.

Actually AA I--
I'm sorry but this computer has been taken a hold of by the Georgia State Police Task Force. Nothing further is to be said on the subject of the police officers murdering innocent civilians. Cease and desist immediately. That is all.
