Does it hurt when you pull all of those strawmen out of your ass? Does it hurt when I reveal your bigotry for what it is? I didn't see a single substantiated claim in that little diatribe of yours. Our "bigotry" is nothing more than an invisible phantom of your imagination. You are not being persecuted. Nobody is coming to round you up into a brainwashing camp. The black helicopters are not coming after you. Get over yourself.

For the love of Cthulhu, can we get back to "Jesus"? chagen can go back to the corner of hell 4chan where he came from. I really don't hold Constantine responsible. He helped to organize the Council of Nicea, but ultimately rejected it and was baptized into the Arian church. It's apparent to me that Christianity as we know it today was founded in the 4th century, not that bullfuck about "the Gospel hit the ground running" I can see Charlemagne being part of it, for the Vatican kissass he was. Some of the "barbarians at the gate" were really the Church's mercenaries. I recommend www.jesusneverexisted.com

Does it hurt when I reveal your bigotry for what it is? Bigotry, Chagen? That would imply you're a member of a caste, race, orientation or otherwise which we've chosen to hang your projected and imaginary insecurities on. We aren't in the business of hating on our own members, even if we do rationally disagree with one another. Diversity is a beautiful thing, and it occasionally means looking another human being in the eye for the time it takes to tell them you disagree. I would almost think it's more bigoted to expect discord be silenced. I may point out that you're still not banned and still free to speak, on that note.

That is genocide. It is not literal genocide, but still a cultural genocide. No, what you're terming cultural genocide is in fact not genocide. It's ethnocide.

Hey, it's not like I'm gonna actually DO it. Just said it's a tempting proposition, if it'll save us all from the bullshit and anti-intellectualism that Christ-tardery has inflicted on humanity. Oh fuck, you too. You're nothing more than an insane kid, who thinks she knows shit, when she knows nothing. I sincerely hope that you get raped and die. I really do. I don't even have words for how angry I am right now. Fuck you. Fuck you with a rusty chainsaw. You don't fucking say shit like that to ANYONE. EVER. I'll be over there, being angry, if anyone needs me. *stomps off*

I know all of that, except that Kitty was actually raped. To be honest, I feel as though I may have stepped over a line--or bounded over it, as one might say. I was just sick of hearing her go on and on and practically promote the genocide of Christianity and those whole follow it. I'll be frank, Kitty has extreme views, even for this board, and her delivery (while honest with her opinions) is often abrasive and she has earned herself a vacation or two from here for some of her actions. But regardless, you did still step over the line. I'll venture a guess, though, and while playing Devil's Advocate, I doubt Kitty wants Christians to die as much as she'd like to see Christianity join the ranks of largely defunct religions, or, barring that, that the vocal Christians would be less radical in their views.Regardless, telling someone you hope they get raped and die (whether it has happened to them or not) earns you no sympathy and I will say this to you without anger or reproach, but I honestly do hope you can grow a thicker skin than what you seem to have right now because you're going to need it more the older you get. Bingo.

Well Chagen, got yourself in deep this time To be honest, I actually like you... well, I like you less now that you said that to WMDKitty (since you're trolling for a ban... and no, I don't include your conservative viewpoints on that) but still... You can be quite reasonable at times. In all honesty, you're not the first conservative to have joined these boards, and you won't be the last. Viewpoints may clash from time to time, but we do more than talk about politics and religion here. I'm actually really quite sad that you tend to think of us as these bigoted Christian-haters when several of us are Christian, several of us were Christian, and a few of us even attend a church willingly. Key word being few. I used to be a Christian myself. It left many scars on me. But there are people I see who are quite frankly wonderful, Christian and non-Christian. Same goes for Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and liberals. That being said, Christianity has caused a lot of harm, and has committed ethnocide itself. The Druid ways will forever be lost because of that.

You know, there's this little thing called "Permabanning"... Yes, we all know you're trolling for a ban. Good luck with that. I'm up for granting wishes today. That is genocide. It is not literal genocide, but still a cultural genocide. And how would this be accomplished? What about the people who refuse to drop their religion? Do you just round them up and shoot them? Brainwash them (which is ironically hypocritical)? Force them into an oppressive government until they are psychologically broken they don't believe in God anymore? Send them to death camps? That sure sounds like genocide to me. Personally given access to a time machine I'd kick St Peter in the balls and leave him a note to stop making shit up. Otherwise I'd just keep pointing and laughing at the truely stupid claims until folks see what's so funny. It's worked relatively well. And Kitty, we did wind up with a quote from at least one regular mainpager for saying something quite similar, it doesn't help anybody if you feed their image of us by saying things like that.

I recommend www.jesusneverexisted.comI like the Jesus Myth by Earl Doherty, although he isn't well received in academic circles. rationalrevolution.net/articles/jesus_myth_history.htm And a refutation of the same www.bede.org.uk/jesusmyth.htm Personally I would be very amused if there was no historical Jesus. It also makes me think about the resurrection. Would many Christians continue being so if there was direct proof there was no resurrection. Personally I don't think it is the lynchpin of the religion rather the philosophy from the gospels is but I'm an atheist so what the fuck do I know.

If the Roman Empire hadn't collapsed, the Dark Ages wouldn't have happened, & think how much ahead-of-schedule our society would be today. Maybe I'm not as big a fan of Rome as some. I'd recommend Terry Jones Barbarians bbc series and book of the same name. The if the main energy source driving our society is mineral oil the main energy driving the Romans was slavery. Rome did genocide on a truly massive scale and didn't advance philosophy and science as well as some might assume. What they did do is keep Greek philosophy and add little bits to it. In any case as far as this TARDIS stuff goes, two words-butterfly effect. None of us have any idea that history would have been better without the Christians, this is why the Doctor is always careful NOT to mess with history-so things don't turn out even worse!
