Seriously? It's not terribly shocking, given her drug problems, but still... only 27. Damn.
eta: Yet another case of the "27 Club".
vv She was definitely talented. "Rehab" is a pretty good song, though it'll be hard to listen to it without cringing now...

Drug problems notwithstanding, you have to admit she could hold a tune. RIP

This makes me really sad. Regardless of who doesn't like her music, it can't be denied she had a beautiful voice and talent. I very highly suspect that, like Michael Jackson, the people who surrounded her ignored and even enabled her substance-abuse and mental-health problems for their own benefit.

Someone even GAVE me the album Rehab comes off of, I tried to like it, but my ears said "no no no." What I can say is I've seen her a few times on TV and she always seemed charming. Kind of a Ricky Gervais thing, because I don't enjoy either of them but always felt bad for not enjoying them based on their personality. I am really unsurprised that this happened, but it is incredibly unfortunate that it did.

Can't say I'm surprized. However, my heart goes out to her family.

I think the only thing sadder regarding this death (R.I.P. Amy, though I only knew ye by pop culture references) is that I found out about it through Megan, Grandspawn of Fred...

I am always sad to hear about someones death. That being said, if it is self inflicted I really do lack sympathy for dead celebrities who live and die in excess.
