You're trapped in the body of a bird, but a Physical God gave you the ability to turn into animals again? I will also claim Marco. Not quite a bird. But just like, I could relate to how Tobias felt. His life was horrible. He wanted to escape. So to him, his humanity was an easy price to pay once he had a way to pay it. It's no real secret that Tobias trapped himself as a hawk on purpose. It wasn't until quite a bit after he had made that choice that his life actually made turns to a point where being stuck in a hawk's body felt restricting. And one could make solid arguments that had he never stranded himself as a hawk, he never would have developed the connections to the people that made his life as a human worth living. And especially when I was younger, I could really understand how he felt. I wanted away from my own life so bad, I'd have gladly become a bird and just flown away from it if possible. It was for different reasons, but I could really relate to how easily he surrendered being human.

Yes, as was mentioned earlier. It was something like 6 episodes, & followed a different sequence of events. Nah, it was on for quite awhile, I think it was either 2 or 3 seasons worth. 26 episodes, according to Wikipedia. 20 in the first season, 6 in the second. So I guess you're both right.

But looking back Marco was a better fit. They should do movies!!

Something that's always bugged me:
Was it ever revealed what Garoff was after in Visser?

Something that's always bugged me: Was it ever revealed what Garoff was after in Visser? I'm not sure he was after anything, if memory serves. Wasn't he just there to pass judgment on Visser One's charge of treason?

It was repeatedly mentioned that he had an alterior motive and hinted that he may even be the Emperor.
Needless to say, I was disappointed in the lack of a Big Reveal.

Well, of course it was hinted he may be the emperor. No one outside of the Council of Thirteen knows who the emperor is, so it was a constant fear of hers that Visser One was dealing with the single most powerful Yeerk in the universe directly.
Though I admit, my memory's foggy. I just don't really recall him actually working towards anything other than judging the Visser's case.

You have a point about the Emperor thing, but still.
That's basically all he did, but the fact that he seemed to be directly siding with Visser One prompted a few comments from her & Eva that he had his own motive. Which was probably some kind of political pandering, or maybe he just liked Visser One, but still.
I re-read it not too long ago, plus I read it a bunch of other times in the past, so that's why I remember this.

It was probably hinting towards something not directly related to the Animorphs' plot. I mean, the Yeerks were a huge empire. The stuff happening on earth was important, but far from the only thing the Yeerks had going on.

I'm re-reading right now. It's been a long ass time. I'm on book 13.
I'm a Tobias/Cassie/Marco. Tobias for being alone, Cassie for her connection with animals, and Marco for trying to find the joke out of everything to stop feeling so alone.

I want to change my answer to Visser Three, because I wouldn't mind having the authority to just lop off someone's head whenever I'm vaguely irritated about something.

Why not just go ahead and hop to Visser One? Also, might I add I got REALLY fucking annoyed with the Andalites throughout the series?

Also, might I add I got REALLY fucking annoyed with the Andalites throughout the series? Oh good, that wasn't just me! It always read like a really badly thought out Prime Directive to me, even as a kid.
