Good, but bad, but good. On the one hand, freedom of choice, on the other, freedom from forcible indoctrination. I have mixed feelings about it.

I agree with TWoozl. Good to stop indoctrination but kinda bad as it stops freedom of religion. But considering that this was instituted by an authoritarian regime, maybe it's more to control the populace than to stop fundamentalism.

Fundamentalism is just another variety of totalitarianism, largeham. Dictators hate competition.

I do love it when religion is curtailed, but they're kind of going about it wrong if you ask me. Best to tax them, tax them some more, make it nigh-on impossible to receive building permission for religious building and finally, tax every last cent they make.

This is possible. ...If anything, I would set the limit at 13 years old, so that way the kid is old enough to choose for himself... even if that choice ends up being influenced by his parents.

15 is the lowest I'd go.
My reasoning is that saying you have to wait until you're an adult to choose your beliefs is just asinine, but make it too young & your parents will have too much influence over it. Even in the early teens, you're still much closer to being a kid.
