Okay a few of my political views that maybe unpopular...
1. Every person of voting age should be legally required to do so, even if they check "Abstain" for each section.
2. Each able body person must complete one year of some type of public service before being eligible for college. Pay will be dependent on which type of service it done. Those joining to military would be exempt.
3. Any person wishing to own firearm must qualify with that firearm every three years. Qualifications requirements would depend on the firearm. Antique firearms would be excluded.
4. All drivers should have to re-qualify every 10 years. Every 5 years over the age of 65, and every 2 over the age of 75.
5. The voting age should not be lower then the drinking age...rutting change one of them!
6. Birth Certificates should not be able to be altered unless evidence is presented to prove the information on the certificate was incorrect at the time of birth. Exception for this maybe granted in rare cases.
7. Men only/Women only private clubs/groups should be legal. The exception would be any club (mostly but not limited to sports clubs) that compete against public clubs. IE private schools that compete against public ones.

I like its desingnation as a dwarf planet. It does after all have a few of its own moons.
Even cooler is that it maybe a binary dwarf planet orbiting with its partner Charon.

Pre-natal. Just put the headphones on the belly. This, it is never to early. I saw The Empire Strikes Back in the theater when it was first released. I was three!

Some of what they are doing is illegal. It is called civil disobediences for a reason. The issue is that the police response is disproportionate to the severity of the crime.

But then they're suffering violence without fighting back. Catch-22 for them. "I cannot teach you violence, as I do not myself believe in it. I can only teach you not to bow your heads before any one even at the cost of your life." ~Mahatma Gandhi

On the other hand if they endure without violence they will gain support.

A quote from an unknown Marine...
The USMC is over 219 years of romping, stomping, hell, death and destruction. The finest fighting machine the world has ever seen. We were born in a bomb crater, our mother was an M-16 and our father was the devil. Each moment that I live is an additional threat upon your life. I am a rough looking, roving soldier of the sea. I am cocky, self-centered, overbearing, and I do not know the meaning of fear, for I am fear itself. I am a green, amphibious monster made of blood and guts who arose from the sea, festering on anti-Americans throughout the globe. Whenever it may arise, and when my time comes, I will die a glorious death on the battle field, giving my life to mom, the Corps, and the American flag.
We stole the eagle from the Air Force, the anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army. On the 7th day, while God rested, we over-ran his perimeter and stole the globe, and we've been running the show ever since. We live like soldiers and talk like sailors and slap the hell out of both of them. Soldier by day, lover by night, drunkard by choice, MARINE BY GOD!

Also they're not allowed to accept cash in transactions. Ummm.....My dollar here says "this note is legal tender for all debts, public and private". So I don't think that state can do that.....

A shaky, undemocratic government that might not last a month. And it only cost 3 trillion dollars and a million Iraqi lives. To be honest, who knows what will happen in Iraq now? I don't. I don't think anyone does. All we can be sure is that Iraqis want the US to piss off and let them work it out alone. Well let's hope it works out well.

Vietnam also had the US leaving and the Saigon getting taken by the North.
Iraq does have a new government and it is not controlled by those we would consider the enemy.

In fairness, there are a lot of antisocial manchildren/internet tough guys who are actually in the military, or have been in the military. The two aren't mutually exclusive. Neversaid they were. I was only talking about the ex-Marine statement.
