For all of you baffled by how certain things got on there, you have to realize that under Australian law cartoons and if I'm not mistaken even text can be considered child pornography. By that definition some of the content in /b/, ED, truechristian.com, etc is have child porn. Where does this leave all the Harry Potter lemons on the pit of voles? I think they tried to make the same ruling over here (which makes FUCK ALL SENSE because the whole point of banning kiddie porn is that actual children are being abused to make it) but it didn't gain any traction.

My favorite part of that particular panel is the phrase "I'm a Buddhist and you don't exist!" ;D That is my favorite panel for the same reason. It was actually seeing it on your signature that inspired the pic i posted.

I posted this on the FSTDT gallery thread over on the general board, but it's on topic here:

It amused me slightly that the advert the server decided to put next to a video of a scam artist urging people to line his pockets was for the Scientology YouTube channel. Not having heard of the racket company in question, I thought this thread was going to be about gold farming when I saw the title.

Just got back from Wikileaks myself. Some thoughts:
1. Most of the URLs in the list you couldn't pay me to click. 2. Someone in the Australian censor's office really doesn't like poker. 3. Some legit porn sites on there, I notice. 4. Lemonparty is gross, but it's not child porn. 5. Whatever else you can say about /b/ and ED (and there's a lot) they also aren't child porn. 6. Blocking Wikileaks is suspicious behaviour. 7. What's with all the Geocities sites? I'm not going to click just in case, but if the content was illegal wouldn't Geocities themselves take the site down and report the owner? 8. Like frogflayer I'm at a loss as to how truechristian.com ended up on there. FSTDT isn't, I notice.

He's not getting out is the main thing. Anything less than life would have been unjust.

If it's any consolation, I think the causation on that one is the other way round: diabetes makes tooth problems more likely rather than vice versa. In any case, hope the rest of the work goes OK - can't stand going to the dentist myself.

If the Australian government sold the blacklist as a measure against child porn, then if it contains anything at all other than child porn then they acted dishonestly. However, as long as they can convince their electorate that it's all in the name of the Glorious Paedo Huntâ„¢ they're not going to have anything to worry about.

That's probably it. I'd imagine that they're getting a lot of hits from Australia right about now - I might try again when it's the middle of the night over there.

Gaaaah. I did not fucking need to read that at six in the morning. I hope the sick bastards get the full 2 years, but I don't think that's enough. Poor little dog

4chan's probably on the list (I can't access wikileaks to check) and the thought crossed my mind that FSTDT might be (or might make its way onto it). Wikileaks seems to be down.

Once the poe is realized as a poe, however, the portrayal is usually viewed by non-fundies as hilarious and by fundies as 'persecution', 'hate speech', or whatever the whine of the week is. Fundie talk of hate speech always amuses me considering how many of them opposed the introduction of hate speech laws.

I was under the impression that bin Laden's opinion of Saddam wasn't much higher than his opinion of the US. Oh, and how dare people say something that's self-evidently true to anyone who can read a calendar? Wanker.
