Believe it or not, I am actually in favour of this. While I do ideally oppose the death penalty in all circumstances, lethal injection needs to be abolished immediately. Doctors and nurses should never have any role in putting someone to death. Or at very least put their names up on a website somewhere. Killing is addictive. I don't want to go to a doctor who has developed a taste for blood. Killing is addictive? I think that there's some evidence for that claim, not so much in combat situations but in a concentration camp context. Total power over another person is addictive. |
