And I suppose the source you got for that is your ass right? I read the entire World Book Encyclopedia by the time I was 11 years old. edit Plus the Atlas and the dictionary that came with the set.

Might be simpler than the sexism. The way things are, I would be more inclined to blame their clannish “My Party—Right or Wrong!” attitude. They are willing to excuse anything as long as it is done by a Republican. I'm pullin' fer this. I don't think they really condone it, it's just the "gosh, my buddy can't be wrong" attitude that circles around neocons

Well, they’d try to hide him a bit. But they certainly wouldn’t give him the same run-down they would if it were a Democrat.

It's okay to cheat on your wife with a woman, but not okay to cheat on your wife with a man.
Because GAY SEX IS JUST THAT EVIL.

They are willing to excuse anything as long as it is done by a Republican. I think that's what it is. I admit, I took the claims of sexual harassment with a grain of salt. After all, there are so many scandles and I think it's silly to base your opinion of a candidate based on this crap (I think he's an asshole either way so this doesn't change my opinion much). I say judge them on what they stand for, not what they might have done (unless there's more evidence and it's recent). Still, it seems that conservatives are quick to blame the little people in favor of the "important" people so this doesn't surprise me.

It's okay to cheat on your wife with a woman, but not okay to be in a healthy consensual relationship (with no cheating involved) with a man. Because GAY SEX IS JUST THAT EVIL. Fixed. Also, this doesn't surprise me. Americans seem to prefer politicians who point fingers when they screw up anyway, instead of people who care and take responsibility for their mistakes. Just look at Florida and California's current governors. If they're for people like that, you think they really care if a male politican slaps the rear end of some woman anyway?

I would like to say that a sex scandal wouldn't really bug me either when it comes to voting. (note: sex scandal, not sexual harassment scandal) I don't see what anyone's sex life has to do with their ability to run a country. (locally we had a ministers sex scandal in the news for a week, and to be honest I couldn't figure out why) In my area, it's coming time to appoint people to the local legislature. One of the men who's running for a position is being accused of "unethical conduct" just for texting sexy messages to his girlfriend during a meeting. Although I don't think that all Republicans are intentionally trying to perpetuate rape culture, they seem to be acting like it's not a big deal to let a person who has possibly sexually harassed many women from making decisions about women's bodies.

I'm going to amuse myself by pretending that you have the same edition World Book as my parents have. The one that says that we don't know what Pluto is made of, and that a computer is the size of a large room.

I still have it on a shelf, with the Atlas and the dictionary. Although much of the information is outdated, especially as far as demographics are concerned; I like the whole retro thing it has going. Nowadays the Internet is the best encyclopedia there is, as long as your sources are reputable.

Or if you're an ex-gay, in which case, you're to be pitied and condescended to, and to be used as an example for all gays that you CAN be cured. (Just ignore the 90% relapse rate...)
