I figured there was reason enough to create a separate thread for all the retarded arguments against Occupy OWS.
"They only don't have jobs because they aren't willing to settle for anything other than thier dream job."
"If they spent the time they spend protesting getting a job, they would have money."
"By protesting, they are forcing the cops to work overtime to keep an eye on them, which means they will be taxed more, and they are only losing money by protesting."
"They are just jealous that other people have more money then them. Who cares if they just got lucky."
"The people who have the money worked for it."

"By protesting, they are forcing the cops to work overtime to keep an eye on them, which means they will be taxed more, and they are only losing money by protesting." Ok beyond the "Most of these people have jobs rebuttal to most of these" this one just makes my face palm so hard. That's not how the tax to payment works dumbasses

I heard that there were similar protests happening in cities in Canada... unless they're for something else and I misunderstood... but if I could find one in Edmonton, I just might feel inclined to join in the protesting, given how fucking hard it's been for ME to find a job when I fucking graduated my course with PERFECT attendance and with the highest percentile. I've been looking for a job for FOUR FUCKING WEEKS. And not so much as a SINGLE phone call.
And believe me... I AM busting my ass trying.

Hmmm... circular logic and blaming the poor for being poor. Let me guess, you quoted Repugnicans.

OWS protesters are just jealous of rich people and want to take all their money away and make America a politically-correct, communist dictatorship.

I heard there were protests in Vancouver and Halifax (I think it was Halifax... somewhere out east anyway...) and the frickin' government is trying to break it up and I know some people were actually arrested for not going when they were told to go.
That's possibly the only thing that's making me hesitate in going. I don't wanna be arrested.

Most letters to the editor where I live regarding Occupy Wall Street (and Melbourne) usually state along the lines of "Get a job, hippies!"

You know things are fucked when people in Alberta are having trouble finding jobs. I remember back when the labour shortage was going on here in Calgary, you could go outside and a job would practically fall out of the sky and land in your lap.

Oh, so that’s why capital gains is also referred to as unearned income. And if it is all about money you worked for, why do you guys go nuts over the so-called “death tax”?
Wait, I though you said the rich people worked for their money. What’s this about them just getting lucky?

Hell no, if that's true then fuck the protesting. Yes, we know, the idea that you should try to treat other people with respect and avoid using slurs is beyond the grasp of a troll.

And there's a point where it goes too far. Some people need to lighten up and quit taking themselves (or their beliefs) so seriously.
