It's called "customers have a conscience sometimes" ;D I’m used to the winner being “Low Prices. Always,” regardless of the true cost of those “low” prices. So color me cynical when it comes to businesses getting punished by the customers.

How likely is it that the senior partners of the firm, who bear ultimate responsibility, will already have enough to retire*? (Don't answer that).
*Of course, this depends on what debts the business has. If it is almost bankrupt, then I will laugh as their homes and cars are taken.
