These people should not have children.

I wouldn't even trust these people with pets, let alone children.

My parents gave me chicken-pox vaccinations, but still made me hug my friend when he got chicken pox. When I got pulled out of school to get my shots, my mom stopped at a shoe store. Apparently, while I was there, I played with two kids who had chicken pox (out and about in public say WHAT?), and my mom nearly had a panic attack, but I got my shots an hour later and haven't had chickenpox since.

I got chicken pox once. I forget how I got them, but I did.
It wasn't fun, but I toughed through it :V

I got chicken pox something like twenty years ago. No vaccine back then, really. I don't really remember much of anything about it other than lots of pajama time.

Getting an immune response without getting sick = BAD. Getting the identical immune response while getting sick = GOOD.
Anti-Vaxxers actually believe this.
When I was a kid, they intentionally spread chicken pox by having us play with friends that had it, but that was before the vaccine, and it can be really fucking bad if you get it as an adult. Now that they have a vaccine, it's sheer stupidity to say kids should get sick with it because that's how we've always done it in the past...

At one point, it was a good idea to give kids the chicken pox early, I've heard that it can be lethal to an adult.
However in this day and age, this is not needed.

It's not terribly likely for it to prove lethal in adults, but it can have rather severe affects on one's reproductive capacity. And it will generally just suck more with a greater rate of complications. It's definitely something to best get out of the way in childhood.
Of course, getting chicken pox doesn't mean the virus cannot hit you again down the road. Shingles is a nasty little disease.

I got it when I was eighteen. Twice in a month And I'm pretty sure I was vaccinated when I was a kid, too.

I had Chicken Pox when I was like 6 or 7 in the mid80s. It was miserable and I remember being confused why my Mom wanted me to go play with a friend when I was sick and feeling miserable.

My sister can get chicken pox again and again. Her body doesn't recognize the fact that she's already had it.
I thought I'd post some anti-vax gems I found on my FB. Parents posted pics of their kids then listed how vaccines harmed them:
Some of them (none of the ones I quoted here) might be kids who really were harmed by vaccines, but don't they realize it's better than the millions who die from easily preventable diseases?

I had chicken pox when I was little, but I was so young I don't remember it at all (though I do have a scar from it).
