The first is good. The rest aren't worth reading.

He's Fundie? (Has only recently started the manga, and is not aware that they got very much farther than the anime.) I think that's him. There was once in the first episode where he was said "blessed are those who die in the name of the lord" as a reason for bombing innocent people on the Triston. Though, it could have been another character. I have the anime, I should watch it more often. Couldn't have been him. Cain didn't appear until nearly the end of the anime. And they never really went into his goals, besides calling him "The Enemy of the World." I think I have a vague recollection of what you're referring to, but sadly, I can't remember anything except the one female AX agent dying. I heard that everything in the anime is more-or-less the same somewhere in the manga, so maybe I'll get back to that part eventually, that way. Edit: Actually, if you mean the VERY first episode, or even the one right after that, not only is it something different from what I'm thinking of, I'm pretty sure the character was being sarcastic. :\ dam nmit, it's been so long that I can't remember. >_<

Mamie and Earl Chamberlain in American Virgin. Eliot's family in Pop Apocalypse. His brother is in a Christian rock band, and their lyrics are priceless.
