Schizo, Most of the time, a good acoustic 12-string has double truss rods. Be vewy vewy careful, there's a shitload of tension in those 12 strings. Try a capo on the first fret, and tune a semi-tone low. Easier to play and self adjusts the action.

I don't find my 12 string easier to play, but I really need to have the action adjusted, so that could just be me. A guitar with bad/high action is no longer a musical instrument, it's a torture device.

I'm more than happy to pay someone to not screw up my instrument. I usually tune down to D and use a capo at the second fret for standard tuning anyway. I love the sound of the instrument, rhough.
