On the old forum, I talked about going for a walk and displaying a bit of confidence (because I have abysmally low self-esteem and self-confidence, despite apparently being one of the most gorgeous women on this forum), and boasted shamelessly about some poor guy on the other side of the road who walked into a lightpost because he was staring at me. Everybody here declared that I had superpowers. I went for another walk this afternoon because it's such a nice day, and also because it looks like it might rain later. The following things happened:
~A whole bunch of cars stopped or slowed down. A bunch honked to get my attention.
~A car full of high school guys (between fifteen and seventeen years old) hung out of their car windows and hollered at me. Though high school guys aren't really known for their discerning taste in women.
~Some poor man got into trouble for waving at me. His girlfriend, who was in the passenger's seat, noticed he was staring and hit him with her purse. The window was open so I heard her tell him, "I'M RIGHT HERE!"
~One guy originally going in the opposite direction to me TURNED AROUND in traffic and followed behind me for a while trying to get my attention. That was a bit on the creepy side. o.0
So, apparently a little bit of confidence goes a long way. This'll probably turn out to be my Thread of Superpowers where I brag about how I can turn heads and stop traffic. (But hey, I'm entitled!)

Yeah welll... People give me wierd looks because I dress like something out of the wall street crash as written by Graham norton. But that's nto a superpower, that's just a lack of sense.
But seriously, good for you, stopping cars with nothing but your breasts is a pretty impressive feat.

Well, I didn't actually stop cars WITH my breasts. That would, indeed, be an impressive feat.

Well, I didn't actually stop cars WITH my breasts. That would, indeed, be an impressive feat. I beg to differ, you did not of course physically stop cars with your breasts, but as a direct result of your breasts and your decision to take them with you, cars were stopped. Ergo, by using your breasts cars were stopped. But if you phrase it as "I can stop cars with my breasts" then people are more impressed. Or more scared. Probably the second one.

What are the odds? I've had people react just the opposite with me. We ought to form a league of heroes.

My decision... to take them.... with me? It's not like I can pop 'em off and leave them at home!
I should make a t-shirt that says "MY BREASTS STOP TRAFFIC".

After enduring stares for many years I am perfectly inured to it. Although I still find the giggling disconcerting.

I like this idea of a league of heroes. I'm pretty sure I can turn invisible. At least, it's the only explanation I have for why people would be completely unaware of the person behind them, who's 6'5", decked out in a black trench coat, and singing Queen and Type O Negative songs in public.
Plus, imagine how much more effective my stealth powers would be when paired with caitsidhe's...Well, pair.

Cait, I'm fairly certain your superpowers can infect photographs. I would like to conduct a scientific test about it, so please pm me links to photos of yourself. Science will be ever so grateful to both of us.

Most people here already know what I look like--you must be new, Wottockhunt. Anyway, this is what I look like, though I wasn't dressed like that this afternoon. I was just wearing jeans and a white t-shirt. Canadian Mojo: It WAS pretty funny, though I kinda felt bad for the guy. He was just LOOKING after all. I mean, who can BLAME him? *preens*

Apparently. Though as far as "Annoying Things Your Boyfriend Does" goes, looking at a girl from a car window hardly seems worth making a fuss about.

Ah, but you aren't a massively possessive freak, either. There are a lot of people out there that figure that relationship means the other person is their property and no longer allowed to notice that there are other people out there who are attractive.
