Here's one that not many people know of and who made the mainpage (and the Top 100 list):
Name: Mohammed Yusuf †
Religion: Islam
Occupation: Preacher and leader of Boko Haram.
Aggravating Factors: Led a Nigerian terrorist organization named "Boko Haram" (the literal translation of which is "non-Islamic education is a sin") until his death in 2009. Didn't believe in evolution (a.k.a. "Darwinism"), a spherical Earth or any other scientific fact that contradicted the "word of Allah."
Past Statements: "There are prominent Islamic preachers who have seen and understood that the present Western-style education is mixed with issues that run contrary to our beliefs in Islam. Like rain. We believe it is a creation of God rather than an evaporation caused by the sun that condenses and becomes rain."
Name: Joseph Alois Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI)
Religion: Christianity (Catholic)
Occupation: Archbishop of Munich and Freising (1977–1982); Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (1981–2005); Pope (2005-Present).
Aggravating Factors: Prior to becoming Pope, Cardinal Ratzinger spent his time covering up evidence of systematic abuse of children by Catholic priests. Spoke out against the secularization of Europe, as if Europe under the reign of the Catholic Church was an enlightened era. Thinks God chose him to lead the Catholic Church when he was actually selected because a paper with his name on it was burned and yielded white smoke. Bears an eerie resemblance to Emperor Palpatine of the
Star Wars movie series.
Past Statements: "You can't resolve [the AIDS crisis] with the distribution of condoms. On the contrary, it increases the problem."
"The various forms of the dissolution of matrimony today, like free unions, trial marriages and going up to pseudo-matrimonies by people of the same sex, are rather expressions of an anarchic freedom that wrongly passes for true freedom of man...from here it becomes all the more clear how contrary it is to human love, to the profound vocation of man and woman, to systematically close their union to the gift of life, and even worse to suppress or tamper with the life that is born"
Name: Meir Kahane †
Religion: Judaism (Orthodox)
Occupation: Member of the Israeli Knesset (1984-1988); founder of
Kach and the Jewish Defense League.
Aggravating Factors: Rabbi Meir Kahane was known for his belief that Arabs and Jews would never be able to live together peacefully. Because he feared an Arab majority in Israel, Kahane suggested the expulsion of all Arabs from "Jewish lands." In 1968, Kahane founded the terrorist organization known as the Jewish Defense League. (The JDL advocates the extermination of all Arabs and is responsible for multiple attacks against Arabs and people of Arabic descent.) In the early 1970s, Kahane founded the
Kach party, which was eventually branded as a "racist political organization" by the Israeli government and subsequently outlawed in 1988.
Past Statements: "Jews have been in Egypt since Biblical times, and Alexandria had once been, at least partially, a Jewish city."
"Let me tell you what the minimal borders are, and which the rabbis agree upon, according to the description given in the Bible. The southern boundary goes up to El Arish, which takes in all of northern Sinai, including Yamit. To the east, the frontier runs along the western part of the East Bank of the Jordan river, hence part of what is now Jordan. Eretz Yisrael also includes part of the Lebanon and certain parts of Syria, and part of Iraq, all the way to the Tigris river."
"I ask a question that sends Israelis crazy, both on the Left and on the Right. The question is as follows: if the Arabs settle among us and make enough children to become a majority, will Israel continue to be a Jewish state? Do we have to accept that the Arab majority will decide?"
Name: David Barton
Religion: Christianity (Evangelical)
Occupation: Former teacher; author; ordained minister; founder of Wallbuilders group.
Aggravating Factors: An unashamed pseudohistorian, David Barton seeks to teach children a warped version of U.S. history with an emphasis on our "Christian heritage" (ignoring the Establishment Clause, Treaty of Tripoli and deism of the Founding Fathers in the process). Fabricated quotes and attributed them to George Washington, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, etc. in an effort to paint them as conservative Christians. Though these quotes were easily disproven by dedicated historians, they are constantly being spread like a venereal across Christian websites. Recently attempted to convince the Texas Board of Education to emphasize the importance of Christianity and the Bible in U.S. history. Founded the ironically-named Wallbuilders group, whose goal is to actually tear down the wall separating the church from the state.
Past Statements: "On January 1,1802, Jefferson wrote to that group of Danbury Baptists, and in this letter, he assured them—he said the First Amendment has erected a wall of separation between church and state, he said, but that wall is a one-directional wall. It keeps the government from running the church, but it makes sure that Christian principles will always stay in government."
"There should be
absolutely no 'Separation of Church and State' in America."
Name: David Limbaugh
Religion: Christianity (Evangelical)
Occupation: Author; lawyer; syndicated columnist.
Aggravating Factors: Hack writer for World Net Daily and Townhall.com, David Limbaugh (brother of popular talk radio blowhard Rush Limbaugh) subscribes to Dominionist theology: the belief that Christians were chosen to found and to lead the United States of America. A willing participant in America's "culture war", Limbaugh focuses his time on combating the diabolical forces of liberalism, secularism, feminism and homosexuality. Author of such books as
Persecution: How Liberals are Waging War Against Christians and
Bankrupt: The Intellectual and Moral Bankruptcy of Today's Democratic Party.
Past Statements: "Christianity stands for freedom, we don't want to impose our religion on everyone else. We just don't want secular humanist values or homosexual values to be forced upon us under the guise of anti-harassment laws, speech codes, hate crime laws, or sensitivity training."
"Many of ID's cynical detractors patronizingly frame this entire debate in terms of a struggle between faith and science. Intelligent Design, they say, is but a thinly disguised argument for Biblical creationism and its proponents threaten to obliterate the 'wall of separation' between church and state by cleverly sneaking creationism back into the schools inside the Trojan horse of ID. But that is simply false. ID is fundamentally science-based. The fact that scientific inquiry leads certain scientists toward a conclusion compatible with the Judeo-Christian worldview -- that intelligent causes were behind the creation of the universe and life -- does not disqualify them as scientists any more than the militant secularism of many Darwinists disqualifies them."
Name: Jay Grimstead
Religion: Christianity (Evangelical)
Occupation: Founder/director of the Coalition on Revival.
Aggravating Factors: In order to work towards his goal of transforming the United States into a Christian nation that follows Biblical laws, Jay Grimstead founded the Coalition on Revival. The organization managed to bring together many like-minded individuals such as Gary DeMar (President of American Vision), Duane Gish (President of the Institute for Creation Research), D. James Kennedy (Pastor of Coral Ridge Ministries), Tim LaHaye (President of the American Coalition for Traditional Values and co-author of
Left Behind series), Gary North (President of the Institute for Christian Economics), R.J. Rushdoony (President of the Council of Chalcedon), and Donald Wildmon (President of the American Family Association). Grimstead is uniting fundamentalist Christians of all stripes for the common evil.
Past Statements: "We are to make Bible-obeying disciples of anybody that gets in our way."
"You start with a group of serious Christians who are obedient and who are willing to die for the cause — to die for Jesus, the brethren and the Truth. If we don’t have that, we can’t make headway in any century, but particularly at a crisis point in history like we have now — the coming collision course between Christian philosophy and anti-Christian philosophy. We must have people willing for martyrdom and holy living. Then there needs to be a number of committees in each city for the Christians involved in the arts, communications, law, economics, family counseling, medicine, etc. They must connect into a united spiritual army of Christians in every city. I am proposing that we find people to run for office and attempt — systematically, professionally and constitutionally — to capture the majority of seats in every state legislature, city council, county board of supervisors, the U.S. Congress, and then take the mayor, sheriff and governor seats. We must be about the business of rebuilding civilization on the principles of the Bible."
