Bully. Great dark character-study kinda film about a bunch of overprivileged suburban high-school dropouts who sit around getting high and fucking like rabbits deciding one day pretty much on a whim to kill the most assholish member of the group. The movie takes a little look into their relationships with their parents, and how each kid's parents view the other kids, but the big focus for me seemed to be the fact that all of them had a very naive and childlike view of the whole situation. No matter how hard outsiders from the groups try to hammer into them that it's a serious matter, they all act like it's a game, like it's no big deal, like it's just goofing off.
Good movie, good actors, good director. Good show altogether.

The Oxford Murders. I like the entire concept of the movie, but the protagonist's acting was crummy. Also, too much sex.

Grass. Finally Documentary airs something other than the same three shows about film makers no one has ever heard of.

Borderland: Very loosely based on a true story. Similar to Hostel but with better acting. I find torture films tedious though.
The Princess and the Frog: Yeah…
The Crazies: Actually not bad. Great horror for conspiracy nuts.
Amityville Horror (original film): Classic
The Brain that Wouldn't Die: Hilarious and terrible, the Dr's awkward, drawn out facial expressions = priceless
Grace: Vegan moms give birth to flesh-eating zombie babies. If you want to watch a chick in her 50's obsess about her tits and force her husband to suckle then go for it. All breast shots in this movie involve chewed boobs or old boobs.
Claymore: Started strong, good plot, decent animation, weak DBZ (ZOMG THE POWER LEVELS) ending.
Darker Than Black: Enjoyed this, pretty original plot, good animation, liked the power-at-a-price (OCD behavior) concept
Witchblade: An abortion of animation
Paranormal Entity: Paranormal Activity ripoff in all its glory. The whole story seems to be written around having the sister be 1) naked or 2) in her underwear
Paranormal Activity: Not scary, very boring. Search the net for the alternate endings. The cop ending (original ending) is terrible but also funny. The throat slit ending I would consider the best of the three, it's too bad they used the weird CGI face ending instead.

Currently watching Queen of Outer Space. Only five minutes in and so far it's wonderfully, amazingly awful. ;D

Count Dracula and His Vampire Bride, AKA The Satanic Rites of Dracula. Awful, but still entertaining. Dracula has a crap death scene, though; it's like they weren't even trying anymore.
Started watching Hellraiser, but didn't finish it.

Jacob's Ladder. Not a bad movie, but I was hoping for scarier. The only time I really jumped was when they built up a really dark, tense scene, then switched to a normal outdor scene with a truck driving by.
A Vietnam vet is slowly losing his mind and seeing demons all over the place, and I jump because of a truck. Yeah.

Fritz the Cat. I'm a bit sad Netflix didn't have 9 Lives as well. It's Fritz with less social commentary and more Hitler rape.

The hallucination scenes, with the faceless, shaking people, get to me really bad. It builds such a wonderful atmosphere.

Hellraiser 2 wasn't half bad either. 3 is where it all went terribly wrong. CD cenobite = lame sauce
Edit: yay I can spell!

The first two Hellraisers are two of my favorite horror movies. Third one is painfully bad, even though it had some ingredients to be good. Lame plot and lame new Cenobites ruined it. Fourth one could have been great but studio meddling made it awful. Fifth one ('Inferno') is actually really fucking good... Very Jacob's Ladder esque with a bit of Se7en. Back to creepy. Sixth one wasn't awful but it was kind of unmemorable. Like, I remember very little if anything at all about it. I didn't even bother with the seventh and eighth ones because I hear they're total garbage. I mean, they were originally written as generic, non-Hellraiser direct-to-video horror flicks and sometime during pre-production it was decided that they would sell better if they slapped Pinhead's face on them and hoped people ignored the OOC-ness of the Cenobites.

Huh, the last film I watched was the original Hellraiser... ;D The first two Hellraisers are two of my favorite horror movies. Third one is painfully bad, even though it had some ingredients to be good. The only good things about the third film were (IIRC) the interesting thing with Pinhead's origins and Pinhead being in the pillar for most of the movie, and that messing with his personality, effectively literally splitting it in half (at least giving some explanation for how he acts). Basically Pinhead is the only reason to see this film. Pinhead will also be the best thing in most of the sequels. This. Though frankly I don't think that the box needed an origin story; it was creepy as it was -- which was mysterious. Again Pinhead shows up at the end has an awesome soliloquy and lameass OOC actions. This. I actually quite loved this because it got back to making the Hellraiser 'verse's hell scary as fuck and Pinhead more like he was in the first and second films. The only awesome thing about that is that it's hinted that Kirsty, the girl from the first film, shows up and is hinted to possibly become a Cenobite in the future. Of course, nothing is ever done with this in the next films. Yes, they are fucking terrible. Frankly, I'm not sure I even want to see the ninth one that's coming up... or the remake that's been languishing in Development Hell and being drained of talent over the past several years.
