Just watched Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue. I'm not that keen on zombie films, but I rather enjoyed that one. Could have done with more tits and less splatter though.

Watched Repo Men on the commute over the last few days. I enjoyed the movie, and the twist actually kid of surprised me (and made me sad).
I think I'll be watching it again in a few months to see if I actually like it

So got The Wicker Man watched. Very good film, Sir Christopher Lee was truly excellent. Probably would have been far more effective if the ending wasn't such an It Was His Sled moment. Basic plot is pretty much "Devout christian goes to remote island. Pagans troll the fuck out of him."

A couple days ago, I and a couple friends of mine (one of whom hadn't seen this movie before) rented Tron, being that we're all having major nerdgasms over the prospect of finally seeing the sequel about a month from now.

Two movie recommendations for people who like to toke while they're watching:
1) Shakes The Clown. DP and I watched this the other day. The ONLY way to watch this movie is high off your ass.
2) Clerks. OMFG. I don't normally like campy movies like this but with enough THC it even had me ROFL. Watched this last night.

1) Shakes The Clown. DP and I watched this the other day. The ONLY way to watch this movie is high off your ass. Ughhhh. I made the mistake of paying like $20 bucks for the DVD of this years ago and I still regret it. Kinda fun seeing Tom Kenny in a prominent live-action role, and the "make it look like there's been a fight" scene made me laugh until I cried, but the rest of the movie? Blah. Bad Bobcat Goldthwait, bad!

Just watched 'Whip It' on Blu-Ray - Drew Barrymore's directorial debut starring Ellen Page, Juliette Lewis et al - Brilliant film - touching and funny - not quite as dry as Juno, possibly warmer - full of much of the same goodness, so perhaps level with it on my fave films chart.

Morning Glory. Oh god, there were so many old people in the theater. The movie itself was alright. I didn't pay for it anyway.
Before that, I'd seen RED. Moldova does indeed suck. But the movie didn't. :3

The Princess Bride. INCONCEIVABLY well done. Seriously. Probably now one of my top films vying for dominance against Phonebooth and Serenity.

Inception. I'd have enjoyed it more if I hadn't been expecting a much heavier mindfuck. Given what I'd heard about it, it felt fairly straightforward.
