well to all i still stand on my beliefs and saying one scientist disproves another and this one disproves that one doesn't prove either case. .......you really don't understand how science works do you? m52nickerson unless you can refrain from a personal assault rather than a discussion on beliefs or facts i will just ignore you here. I do not appreciate being called names like fundie, ignorant, uneducated or anything else. I give everyone here respect and would like the same. Thank you Feel free to ignore me. Unless I ask you a direct question, then you need to respond per the forum rules. The facts are that you are ignorant of how proof works, how science works, and how modern medicine works. It would be far more useful to educate yourself then try to convince people that they have Demons. Maybe then you will see how you are harming people, including perhaps your wife.

well to all i still stand on my beliefs I assumed you would. However, do understand that since you have been presented with evidence, it is now completely dishonest of you to claim that there is no evidence for various things. The fact that we spent time to answer your questions, and you don't care to go listen to the answers does not make our reliance on evidence and logic equal to your faith-based beliefs. Yep, because that's not how science works. I am willing to explain how science works, but you'll have to actually ask. Showing you were uninterested in the answers to the questions you did ask demonstrates that you probably don't care, and won't listen anyway if it contradicts what you want to believe. But please don't make statements about science if you don't care to hear what science offers. Science doesn't offer "this guy said this, and this guy said this, so both are equally valid." If two ideas contradict one another, and one keeps making accurate predictions and explaining new discoveries, and the other doesn't, then the first one wins. The end. I'm going to get extremely tired of you asking and declaring the same things over and over and not listening to me on my answers. Obviously, if we both feel like continuing the conversation, we can. But more than an hour is probably going to push the limits of my patience for shenanigans. Skype is not very demanding. You really just need a microphone and headphones. The only thing is you do need high speed internet - you are not using dialup, right? I do forget that people sometimes are. If you are using dialup, I will just get a device so I can record from my cell phone. I can get one very cheap on the internet; I just need to wait on delivery time.

Still waiting for that evidence you promised us... *EDIT*: Ah~ My first thorough refutation on FSTDT. It feels good. All I can say is....... Oh my. Thank you for that. I've been itching for a chance to do a full refutation of something. I guess a year on FSTDT will do that to you.

Skype will not work on dialup. I will arrange something via regular phone.
Now please answer people's questions, including mine.

Who called whom names, lightmelon? "Ignorant" is not an ad-hom when it is referring to lack of knowledge. That's what it means, and that's what nautical is. Nautical has demonstrated that he does not understand and does not care to learn how science works. It is not being mean to point that out. Likewise "you are not answering questions" and "you are ignoring what people are saying to you" are statements about what is going on. Everyone does not get to be equally right just because everyone is a human being.

Sorry about the absence, molecular nomenclature is a bitch. CatAnon- nice refutation! well to all i still stand on my beliefs and saying one scientist disproves another and this one disproves that one doesn't prove either case. I’m going to add to the chorus of Science Does Not Work That Way. There’s the truth, then there’s what hack “scientists” put out as the “truth” to better corral the ignorant sheeple. And since there’s been some debate, the word “ignorant” is used here as shorthand for “people who don’t have knowledge of something and, even when knowledge is handed to them on a silver platter, refuse to see it for the truth and so go hide behind some charlatan who’s spouting stuff that makes them feel good and doesn’t make them question their own long-held beliefs or actually learn something about the world around them”. My wife had no interest in the ministry. She did go on some trips with me however did not participate. She could have heard a bunch of things however the water of life i know for a fact she had no knowledge of. I still say you’re not giving your wife enough credit. Even if, though I doubt it’s true, she didn’t internalize anything about the “water of life” stuff from you, water has typically always held a cleansing/purifying connotation. Nearly all religions have some mythology surrounding water’s ability to cleanse/purify/heal/etc. I have have read many books on deliverance That’s not what I asked. I asked if you read anything on DID. You know, the actual diagnosed cases of DID. With actual trained mental health professionals. Have you read anything that deals with DID as the mental health field defines it? Also, I did a little digging on your authors and whether or not they should be giving anybody advice on how to treat mental illness- Ellis H. Skolfield- “received… theological training”, nothing mentioned about Psychology or Psychiatry in his bio. Derek Prince- held a fellowship of Ancient and Modern Philosophy, nothing mentioned about Psychology or Psychiatry. Henry W. Wright- mentions a “pre-med” background, nothing else. Lester Sumrall- doesn’t mention any training/education at all. Bob Larson- also nothing mentioned about any training or education in psychology or psychiatry. Frank Hammond- I also can’t find anything regarding his qualifications to speak about mental illness. According to what I can find, these’s guys shouldn’t be telling anyone how to try and treat a mentally vulnerable person.

But whatever, I won't say anything else Forgive me. He can be as nice as a lamb, but I dare you to find someone who'll be able to keep his cool when he's talking to an individual who won't stop saying that *insert name* has DID even when no tests have ever shown this. If I were to declare that you were bi-polar/suicidal/mentally handicapped, only to be refuted numerous times, and then have the audacity to CONTINUE claiming such things, I'm sure you'd be somewhat miffed. *EDIT*: Oh, and YOU ARE FORGIVEN! /Thor voice
