Nope, it was all "feeling" them. A few years later, I started seeing a hooded figure out of the corner of my eye when there was no one else around, but honestly, I chalked it up immediately to my imagination.

Uh. How do you mean? I didn't know names or anything like that, I just thought that I had a demon, then I thought demons were haunting my home, then I believed that I was one. Just, you know, generic "evil and darkness and mayhem" demon-y stuff. I think you can trace that back to the Catholic Church and its long tradition of vilifying things it didn't like, even if your family wasn't Catholic, it's a nice legacy of theirs because you can see how easy it is to control people when they're afraid of monsters depicted in woodcuts.

Do you mean was I going to church at the time? If so, no, we stopped attending church when I was 12 or 13 (one of the few good things that happened at that time) because the pastor lectured my mom and dad from the pulpit for missing service on the Sundays that they felt like crap. If you mean was I in church when I saw the hooded figure, then again no, this was all at home. EDIT: Uh. How do you mean? I didn't know names or anything like that, I just thought that I had a demon, then I thought demons were haunting my home, then I believed that I was one. Just, you know, generic "evil and darkness and mayhem" demon-y stuff. You probably have a point there. I keep seeing a link between my discovering that I liked girls/discovering that it's impossible to be perfect and "OMG I'M A DEMON". We weren't and they aren't ever Catholic, purely Protestant, kinda Church of Godish for the most part.

Nope, not that I recall. I mean, it's hard for me to keep that time period straight, but I think it was around the time that my Catholic friends started acting like jackasses. I doubt that had anything to do with it, though, it was just their homophobia.

what happened that made you decide to like girls? was this just all of a sudden or since way back?

Nothing "happened", really. I just slowly started realizing that I liked looking at girls the same way that I liked looking at guys; I've never dated anyone of either gender, so it was all people watching. I got scared, tried to repress it, and fortunately failed.

now how did you take the rejection from your peers? and were you kicked out of the church or just stopped going or what? are both your parents still living?

I didn't have peers, I was homeschooled largely in isolation with my three brothers. They found out about a year ago and have been very accepting. We weren't kicked out of the church, we stopped going because it was a "family owned" church and, again, the pastor started acting like a jackass. Lastly, yes, my parents are both living and still happily married.
