This fall, we Norvegians are going to elect representatives to the local, regional and national church boards. I got my voter's registration card in the mail today. Thing is, I'm not supposed to get one. I haven't been a member of the Church of Norway for many years. I checked it up, and apparently, several thousands of persons are wrongly registered as members of the church. Rumor has it, a computer error is to blame. Wouldn't have been a big deal, but this means the church is receives financial support, public, governmental money, for thousands of members more than it should.
I actually consider voting. I want to vote in the most fundamentalist, conservative candidates I can find, in order to quicken the necessary and inevitable separation of church and state.

JK, we will totally send you some of our fundies. In the name of secularism, of course. Five or six loudmouthed lutherans will do. Should be enough to disgust the sane majority of of the population.

You church has interesting way to collect more money, I must admit. But at least one can now assume that they haven't removed people from the registry for time of elections just to add them back there after it so they wouldn't get caught. Unless, of course, you have same system as in here that you can only be registerated member of only one (registerated)religious group at the time, so one would notice when converting to some other religion that they're still with the lutherans. All I can say to this is: Go for it! And considering that: corservatives are easily found among laestadians (if you happen to have any of those around there and they are part of lutheran chruch) If not, then maybe someone old, preferably male, and possibly one that wasn't able to find a woman of his life and wants revenge.

Yes, we have the same system. The Nordic countries tend to have very similar laws. You can't be a registered member of more than one official life stance society at the same time.
I can only vote for candidates from my region, and the læstadianists are centered in northern Norway. The Norwegian Læstadianists never left the church of Norway. I'll probably vote for an old bastard from the Mission Society. They have some strength around here, and they are quality fundies.

Quality fundies. Handy. (And: Yes, I have no idea about local or non-local fundie-groups around here, which would be part of lutherans besides laestadians so that's why I threw them in the air. Just few lines about "No True Believer has a TV in their house, drinks, dances or uses birth control" would really help with the separation of church and state )

You guys need some church state separation ASAP. Do you want to hear something sad? Me and my mates want to move to Denmark, we want to move from a country without a state religion to a country with a state religion. Why? Because this country is corrupted by fundies.

Nah, too normal. We will, in our magnanamousosity , give you the entire Wesboro Baptist Church! If that doesn't force seperation, if not an all out war on most religion - nothing will.

Nah, I bet that Norway is way too liberal and gay-friendly to their taste. "Unfortunately" they don't have godhatesnorway.com already, but www.godhatestheworld.com/ says that it is coming soon Edited to add: And no, I wouldn't want them anywhere near Finland Scandinavia Europe, so you can keep them
