www.azcentral.com/offbeat/articles/2009/04/02/20090402pregnancyplot.htmlMy first thought when I read this was "please tell me this is just a weird dream, and this didn't really happen. Please..." What prompts parents to do things like this? (And what kind of guy is the boyfriend that he would agree to rape his girlfriend's drugged daughter?) Which brings up another question... What would they have told the daughter if they had succeeded?

Sure sounds like somebody I want in my genepool. This would be a case where I'd support sterilization of the criminals (or the one who's still fertile).
The enormity of this is... staggering.

See, my first thought was "way to go 13-year-old on successfully stopping people over three times as old as you from raping you THREE TIMES! props and a half, kiddo! you're angling for grandma to get custody, right?"
I've only read the portion of the article that's presented there, but still... bloody impressive.
EDIT: didn't see the boyfriend's age... woop.

I've only read the portion of the article that's presented there, but still... bloody impressive. That actually made me lose a little respect for her. Stopping someone from raping you ONCE is an accomplishment. There should be no second attempt. I can only wonder what trauma or confusion led this poor girl to not go to the police or other trusted adult immediately.

Gee, I wonder what trauma. Oh, I know, how about a rape attempt?

Hmm... let's see.. I'm 13 years old, I live with my mother, who just totally betrayed my trust, there isn't anyone around me who knows about this stuff other than me and the person doing it to me, I don't have anyone I trust to stop them from hurting me more if they find out I told...
Hi. Survivor of child abuse here. It actually is really extremely hard to get the guts to call the cops or something, especially if no one in your own home is supporting you. You KNOW you'll just get in more trouble if they find out, and you KNOW they know how to hide things when people come running. Plus, it's drilled into your head very early on that your word will not be trusted as much as an adult's. If you have no witnesses or bruises or other overwhelming physical evidence, the adults in question can easily convince everyone you're lying for attention.
Hell maybe she DID tell someone and they blew her off. I told a therapist of mine when I was six or seven about my stepfather hitting me. Know what she did? She called my stepfather and told him what I said even though I BEGGED her not to. I got the bruiseless beating of my life for that, and my asshat therapist lectured me for weeks on lying about my parents and tried to get me diagnosed as oppositional defiant so she could justify putting me on pills to make me behave.

See, my first thought was "way to go 13-year-old on successfully stopping people nearly three times as old as you from raping you THREE TIMES! Not that I'm defending him, but I imagine he was relatively easy to "stop", that is, he probably wasn't prepared to use violence, hence the drugs, which obviously didn't work as well as expected. That actually made me lose a little respect for her. Stopping someone from raping you ONCE is an accomplishment. There should be no second attempt. I can only wonder what trauma or confusion led this poor girl to not go to the police or other trusted adult immediately. That's sum good victim blaming there, Never. Did it occur to you that maybe she did go to a trusted adult... like her mother? Or maybe the drugs made the memory a bit hazy. Sheesh.

Even if the physical activity may not have been so difficult to fend off, she was working through what had to be overwhelming fear, plus the drugs whenever they got added to the picture, and when it got repeated she didn't give up even though she probably got punished for fighting against something her mother wanted her to do. I'm still pretty fucking impressed.

You've obviously never been genuinely fearful of your life, or had a 'trusted adult' call you a liar. Blaming the victim is wrong - esp if you've not been in their shoes before. I should smack you. Psychology, motherfucker, do you know it?
