I already knew darck manipulated people. He stated as much on many occasions. It's possible what I knew about him was false or distorted. But still, I liked him. And I miss him. You liked someone who exhibited those traits? Why? How could you like a person you couldn't trust?

I liked him, and I miss him a lot.

We like people for their qualities. We love them for their faults.

Whether he's dead or whether he's playing a trick, I doubt I'll hear from him again - this would be more than grounds for a banning, wouldn't it? For that reason, I'm very sad, regardless of what's going on. I'll miss you, Darck! If you're playing a trick, you're a fucking ass, but I suspect you know that.

Yes, it is grounds for a banning, if we discover that what has been done is trolling.

In fact, I believe the scope of the ban (as put by one individual who shall remain nameless unless they out themselves) would be "every fucking IP in Glasgow," or something close to it.

It's just a metaphor for how pissed the person would be. Not an indication of what said person would actually do.

Not an indication of what said person would actually do. Not entirely true, given Darck's IP was dynamic, and assuming it was darck trolling, it would be the only way to do a real ban. And I don't really give a flying fuck who's behind it if it's just to fuck with us, I'll happily ban the fucker. And everyone in the area. And redirect them to a page explaining my actions and if at all possible providing the home address of whoever the jackass would be. As I'm a vindicitive fuck. However, as I've been saying, I honestly don't believe Darck's behind it, and I actually am rather sorry he's gone, either dead, or having decided to leave us for the sake of a bad joke.

You liked someone who exhibited those traits? Why? How could you like a person you couldn't trust? It was someone I knew from the Internet. Such a relationship implies that I can only see what they chose to show me about them, and I can't know how much of that is true. Maybe the person I knew online had nothing to do with the real person typing those words. Maybe I liked him for a sense of humour that he didn't really have, or thought we had common tastes we didn't, or saw other similarities that weren't really there. Maybe I actually liked a meticulously constructed persona he put up. Frankly, I don't care. It doesn't make a difference to me.

If he's dead or not, I'm gonna just eye this like I always eye internet deaths.
Ironbite-with a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge grain of salt.
