As ez-c pointed out by bolding certain parts of the story, this woman used that verse to justify her child's attire at school, but then completely ignored it when explaining why she doesn't go to church. Wait, someone who thinks Bible verses only apply when they're convenient? Alert the press! If you'll notice also in the picture from the article (which Mantorok posted), the girl has braided hair - which is also no-no according to that bible quote. The mother is even picking and choosing parts out of one bible quote!

Then get her clothes that fit. I have to tuck my shirt in at work whenever I bent over my undies would show. So, I went to wal mart and bought me some pants in my size. Problem solved.
And don't start with that "persecution" bullshit. You're free to attend church above ground, you're free to send you kid to whatever school you're please, and you're free to marry and divorce whoever you want. The Indians were persecuted, the Jews were persecuted, a school telling your daughter to tuck her shirt in isn't "persecution".

Pics, or GTFO. No *white* person would come up with craptastic "names" like "Dyker" or "Jave" -- trust me. True, they are black, but white people come up with craptastic names frequently. Ikea, Febreeze, Chardonnay, the list goes on. And it's a BIG list. I really don't like to say this, Kitty, but that sounded pretty ignorant D:

I like how she picks through scripture to find material to support her actions, but then conveniently doesn't attend church regularly because "she cannot afford to buy a nice dress." I know this shouldn't surprise me after the loads of painful articles I've read elsewhere, but then she mentions how she's being persecuted for her Christianity... this article contains enough crap for a quadruple facepalm.

No...their white. Ironbite-no other christian can get as outraged over nothing like a white christian can. Pics, or GTFO. No *white* person would come up with craptastic "names" like "Dyker" or "Jave" -- trust me. Yep. When *white* people come up with craptastic "names" they prefer things like Ryder, Gage, Blayde, Slayde, Daynen, Daxon, Charleigh, Cannon, Hunter (m/f), Adysan, Nevaeh, Irelynn, Scotlynn, Englynn and those that end with ayden/aiden/aeden/aydyn or aylin/ailin/aelin/aylyn.

For that I'm sorry. But it's been my experiance in this day that white folks are getting more and more wakey in naming their kids. So I can be forgiven for my assumption. Ironbite-but damn woman...both you and your daughter need a diet.

The entire concept of modesty versus immodesty seems so damn random. Apparently dresses are more modest than dresses because you can't see the outline of a girls ass through a dress, but you can look up a dress, now can't you? So what's the fucking point? Why are we trying to follow two thousand year old fashions? It's just pointless. Cover up all the bits that nobody wants to see, and the parts that you don't want to get cold. Everything else is just extra.
