You guys know that no matter what, he's not going to listen, right? He's just here to bitch. If so (which I keep thinking more and more likely), then it just gives people someone new to harp on, post image-macros to, and otherwise have fun with. There's also that too much trolling gets a person banned, as does too much question dodging, or bait threads. So, whether he actually contributes or not, he'll be responded to appropriately based on his own actions. |

Technically, I wasn't the one who linked the thread here. I just followed the link, and shared particularly choice threads in the IRC. Since chagen's apparently too much of a coward to even read his own thread here, let alone defend himself or bitch more, I believe I'll make use of that college email address that I'm not going to have for long, since I'm transferring elsewhere, register an account at the other forum, and briefly call him out there. I'm not quite in a bad enough mood to fully castigate him yet. |

After talking to him a bit on his own territory, it seems like he regrets making this thread in the first place, and, on some level, he realizes that he was wrong. He's definitely no troll, but he is a confused teen with psychological hang-ups. I'm trying to convince him to come here to apologize. Seems like I wasn't entirely wrong to be nice to him, after all.

If he's genuinely apologetic, I can give him another chance. Thing is, his posts are coming across as very antagonistic, regardless of what his intentions were. With all the "kinda like on this site" and "a lot of people on this site" comments, he has to know that people are going to be offended.

You don't want to debate. You want to make sweeping generalizations and then refuse to respond to other users who tell you you're wrong.
As a deist myself I find nothing wrong with theism. Beliving in a god and subscribing to a religion are both fine, however, forcing someone to believe the way you do is not.

Suffering from Stupidkiditis (which strikes 100% of adolescents) isn't much of an excuse. Luckily, majority of the population grows out of this affliction in time. With any hope, the OP, will as well.

ETA: 666 posts! I thought it read more as him being ignorant and highly sheltered rather than as a deliberate troll, which is why I bothered responding. I would like to see him respond, as well as to expand his horizons of understanding. This, of course, can only happen if he's willing to look at other views seriously and keep an open mind to what he finds. |

Just like you get fundies that want to kill all the gays, you also get anti-theists who want to kill all the religious people.
I dont see anything wrong with what was originally posted. The people who are fanatically anti-theist pretty much fit that description. I think the point is that people who are atheist and try and convince someone to leave religion, are not anti-theist. Just like your average theist is not Fred Phelps.

He did, however, pretty much say all anti-theists are like that, and that FSTDT is made almost entirely of people like that.
