or "exhaustion", whatever the fuck that is As far as I'm aware, "exhaustion" is usually PR-speak for "drug addiction", hence why plenty of celebrity 'news' cites "exhaustion" as a reason for an allegedly famous individual checking into rehab. And you know the kicker? I'll bet that if you tell the average American this, it'll be like when they find out what kind of pay union members get: they won't demand better healthcare for themselves, they'll demand worse healthcare for people in the joint. This sounds depressingly like many of the arguments surrounding the impending June 30th strike in the UK.

Yes, but I'm going to Madagascar in a few weeks ;D The injections were for Hep A+B, tetanus, diptheria, polio, typhoid and rabies. Cool. Is rabies actually prevalent enough there to warrant preventative medicine rather than just treating cases as they happen? Our standard regimen of free shots was the MMR -- measles, mumps, and rubella. Tetanus is a free-be, if not standard, and I think they may have also added chicken pox and HPV. And of course there are free flu shots for everyone, not just high risk groups. Yeah... Even if it isn't, rabies can kill before it's treated, especially in places as remote as the place I'm going.

It could also be code for depression, as one of the symptoms of a major depressive episode is severe fatigue.

Could just be going to America. We no longer have the facilities to treat disease, as it was outlawed under the "practice of witchcraft" act of 2009.
Many a globe was shot that sad day in November....Resisting arrest, you know.

Yeah... Even if it isn't, rabies can kill before it's treated, especially in places as remote as the place I'm going. It's scarier than that. If you don't get vaccinated before you develop symptoms, even with treatment, you're basically guaranteed to die. Not just in third world countries or remote areas, either -- in the world's most state-of-the-art hospital, you'd still almost certainly die. In fact, there were no known cases of humans surviving symptomatic rabies without having been vaccinated prior to the development of symptoms until very recently (around 2004 or 2005, I think), when a girl survived because of an induced coma. I believe she was the first ever to recover most of her brain function, even out of the ones who'd survived with vaccination. Only one other person has survived since then -- everyone else died, even with the treatment. Long story short, if you're bitten by a rabid animal and don't get vaccinated before developing symptoms, you're toast. So, yeah, kind of an important vaccine to have when traveling.

I'm just tired of chanting nonsense to justify actual work.

I'm just tired of chanting nonsense to justify actual work. I don't know, the "morning ignition prayer" is kinda catchy. I sometimes find myself singing it even when I don't have to start my car.

... It really has gotten that bad. Why? Well... you only need to read below to understand. -stares at his California medical card.- ... I've yet to go back to California for some of the things I need to get done. Why? Because even with Medicare/Medical coverage, I don't have the $$$. I'm covered for nearly everything, due to being legally recognized as disabled, and being on SSI. Don't even bother suggesting I save up. It's impossible for me to, as all of my SSI check goes straight to living. :/

all of my SSI check goes straight to living. :/ Well what are you doing that for? Seriously though, I feel your pain. I'd probably be dead by now if Vermont's Medicaid wasn't expanded and if the coverage provided wasn't good. As it is, though, I'm especially thankful we're going all socialist in two years, because I still can't afford to make any real money AND get health coverage.

You mean I actually have extra money from SSI to put towards stuff like warranty renewal for my hearing aid? ($250, last I checked.) As it is, my SSI goes straight to rent, bills and food. I don't HAVE anything else after that. The government needs to raise the amount of SSI to a level where it's actually USABLE. As in it actually helps you get a job. And shit like that. At this point in time, I can spend 6+ months to save up a huge amount of money. Good luck if I wanna use that money sooner than needed for an emergency that costs more than what I've saved.

Was referring to living. Think about it, and get back to me on whether I was serious or not.
