In the latest update the police confirms that the shooting on Utøya is connected to the bombings in Oslo. With one person arrested, we may soon get to know who is responsible for this.

Not helping your cause guys, just pissing people off at you and anyone else from the mid east. Extremists don't seem to have the ability to see that shit like this damages their cause. 11I'm not making an assumption about who did this. Just making statement about the stupidity of extremism.

Yeah, a a guy came to a political party's youth camp and claimed to be a police doing a routine inspection due to the bomb attack. He then opened fire at the campers with an automatic weapon. There were at least four confirmed deaths. The shooter is described as tall and blonde. Tall and blond, and speaking Norwegian fluently, otherwise he couldn't pose as a policeman. He might not be connected to the bombing in Oslo. Then again, he might. Last I heard, one man is arrested, and his identity is known to the police. Does Norway have issues with militant white supremacists?

If Norwegian terrorist is white rightwinger, be ready for how fast FOX stops calling him a terrorist. <--not an original comment by Shane. Found it on Twitter and reposted because it is more succinct than I would have said.
As for militant white supremacists, there are some there in Norway. It's a coin toss between who did it in my mind-- Al Qaeda in retribution for earlier arrests or the white supremacists who finally got the balls to do something.

Man, if that blonde suspect turns out to be some sort of convert to Islam...the right here in the US is gonna go freaking loco-its like a plot from 24

Norwegian police say their operating theory is that it's a domestic terrorist attack against the government.

Norwegian police say their operating theory is that it's a domestic terrorist attack against the government. Just speculating, but- wouldn't domestic terrorists wait until its NOT a national holiday?

I want the culprits to be Muslim, just to watch you all backpedal or start screaming about Republican fear-mongering.
The latter has already begun.

There are a few groups of that kind, like Vigrid. They have never engaged in terror attacks before, however.

Oh. That's what I get for not fact-checking. Either way, my point stands that I don't see someone thinking just cause it's a holiday they shouldn't push their agenda.

I heard on Tumblr it wasn't connected with Islam, but CNN isn't confirming anything yet.

By backpedal you mean "Wow, this DOESN'T help your cause, dude!" and by screaming about Republican fear-mongering you mean "Great, they're attributing it to all Muslims... what a surprise"?
