So go to the grocery store and eat at the hotel / campsite? Or eat at the restaurant at the hotel if they offer one. Other than that you still have plenty of fast food joints that cater to kids. You may not have cooking facilities at the hotel/campsite. What if it is the restaurant hotel that doesn't allow kids? You may not know your way around enough to find somewhere or you may just be too tired having spent the day/ night travelling. Anyway as I said that is the only circumstance where it 'may ever' be a problem. But as I said I really don't have a problem with it. Seriously, is there like any town in the US that doesn't have a Mcd's, BK, Wendy's, or some other fast food joint? Hell, Capac's a snot drop on the map and even they have a Subway and a Mcd's

I know!
Have a "children" and "no children" divider. The section that allows children will be lack carpeting to make cleaning up after the little shits easier. It will have shitty kids music on eternal loop. And a 50% gratuity will be charged.
The no children section will, on the other hand, be very pleasant.

I have only one minor problem with this. If it becomes large scale it would be a huge issue. Of course that would only be when almost all restaurants start banning children. It will never happen, capitalism strongly supports the business that tailors for a niche and there will always be family restaurants to cater for them.
Places like clubs basically already ban children so it would be like opening a club and instead of loud music and flashing lights it is just a pleasant restaurant for adults.
Truly, I think it is a good idea. Would make a wonderful place to go for things like anniversaries and other special occasions.

I love it personally. If anything, I'd like to see more crotch spawn-free businesses of any kind.

Yeah, not really seeing an issue here. It's never going to become so common as to account for a majority (or even a significant minority) of the options. Families with kids are too common for more than a handful of restaurants in any given area to be commercially viable while denying them service.
And hell, I'd think people with kids would be the ones most happy about this. It means that one night they do hire a babysitter to get out of the house, they have a place to go where they can actually escape what they needed a break from.

I know pubs here traditionally ban under 14s, though that's more to do with the arcane alcohol laws than anything else. They've got a much better ambience than "family pubs" which have kids play areas in one corner.

"Family pubs" are terrible, soulless places... and they're spreading like a cancer

I think this is a great idea. I can't even count how many times I've been out with friends or on a date and there is some screeching little monster at the near by tables. It makes the meal unenjoyable, especially when the parents do nothing. When I was younger, if I acted a fool in a restraunt, my parents would up and leave.
Basically, it boils down to me not wanting to be subjected to someone elses kids when I'm trying to have a nice dinner out somewhere.
I am all for this sort of thing. If a restraunt in town banned kids, I'd be more apt to go there.

QFT; families are the target audience of most chain resturants. Places like Outback, Friday's, Johnny Rockets will never ban children. And I remember I believe I was at a Denny's when a family had a kid who was loud but at the their table, not wandering but still enjoying themselves as little kids do, someone complained and they manager said this is a family and child friendly place if you do not want to dine with kids I can get your food to go. Kids don't bother me at such places. But on the other side, if I go to to a nice place late in the evening and have to here the same thing I'll be annoyed. Can we please get movie theaters to do this? A movie threater in my neighborhood doesn't let parents bring their children under 6 to R rated movies after 6 ^_^ I hate a crying child in any movie.
