I'm going to guess Ivan is going to win.

Okay, something ticked me off in tonight's episode. Cortez' sword tested to be better at thrusting AND better at cutting AND had better range. But they gave the edge to Ivan's sword. Why? Because Cortez' sword was too versatile.
WTF?

Mid 13th Century Crusader cavalry.
End of discussion.

I was ticked that Ivan didn't win. He had better weaponry for knocking Cortez off his high horse.

If anything his mental instability should've contributed to Ivan winning.
Insanity can help with intimidation.

They both had mental disorders but i was sure Ivan's insanity would have tipped the scales.

I was ticked that Ivan didn't win. He had better weaponry for knocking Cortez off his high horse. Technically, Cortez had a better weapon for (literally) de-horsing someone. ETA: I was surprised Ivan's gun didn't make a bigger difference though. Half the reload time is nothing to sneeze at. They both had mental disorders but i was sure Ivan's insanity would have tipped the scales. Ivan was unstable though. Cortez had a get-shit-done kind of insanity.

Someone who is unstable would certainly put the fear in me.
And I was talking about Ivan's gun knocking someone off their horse. It had an amazing punch. It tore thru the armor like it was nothing and thru the clay as well to dent the other side.
The last hit of the simulation was totally luck.

I thought they gave the X-factors way too much for Cortez. A couple points plus or minus and the Sim runs completely different.

I love how they will run the simulation '1000 times to ensure accuracy' but conduct one test of a weapon. Better yet, half the time the test of the opposing teams weapon is different enough that you can't really compare the results in a meaningful fashion.
It's a crap show, but it's still kind of fun to watch.

It's a crap show, but it's still kind of fun to watch. It's not really meant to be a definitive scientific conclusion. It's intent is more to be just a general entertainment program. In reality there is no sure way to predict all of the unknowns in any conflict with enough certainty to predict a winner. It's more like Mythbusters. It's just entertainment.

What I find annoying is how on EVERY SINGLE DAMN edged weapon test they all burst out shouting "OHHHHHHHHH! SICK!"
Seriously. Find another word.
