I'm starting to think Fundie tippers don't really care about the religious thing, they just want to be as dickish as humanly possible. You mean, using religion as an excuse for being a dick in the name of god? how original. (snark)

One thing though, the reason for the cheapness on Sunday might have less to do with Christians being bad tippers, and more to do with them having just shelled out a significant amount of pocket cash to the service.

They know they are attending the weekly service. The collection plate should be a budgeted expense, not pocket money. Of course “should” and “is” are two completely separate things.

Unless they're spending $10+ each time, I don't see why anyone would budget for that.

Isn't this illegal?

Nope, you're not legally required to leave a tip.

Maybe if you were trying to pass the scripture off as a legitimate currency fake-out to a business... but here in the states, where servers and waiters are paid shit wages and have to nearly depend on tips, you're just a dick if you do this, but it's not illegal. If you tried to pay for your meal with these, on the other hand, you'd get bitchslapped in a legal sense.

No I mean deliberately making and leaving something designed to look like money?

Unless they're spending $10+ each time, I don't see why anyone would budget for that. When she can afford it, my mother usually contributes about $5. Per week. Which is $20 to $25 per month, or $260 per year. I’d say that’s worth budgeting for. In any case, it is still a planned expense, as I would expect, the meal afterwards. It should definitely be planned for in the “this morning” budget you mentally prepare yourself when you get out of bed.

I'm pretty sure Ray Comfort endorses these or something. He leaves "million dollar" tracts around that look like money so that people will pick them up.
"Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour." - Exodus 20:16
"These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. " - Proverbs 6:16-19

However, a quick perusal of RR shows that fundies put a lot of thought into where they place their tracts (store shelves, reception desks, etc.) This fundie, not so much. Ray Comfort, though, might just be enough of a dick to do it.

It's not soliciting, it's "planting seeds". Don't interfere with my God-given right to free speech! /fundie
