If this isn't illegal, it certainly should be. I'm going to email a few of these schools. Why should it be illegal? Like they said, the university allows distribution of non-commercial literature anywhere on campus. Also, Origin of Species is public domain. As regrettable as it is, they have the right. Rather than trying to censor them, we should counter with our own campaign. For instance, flyers being handed out pointing out the flaws in Creationism, especially those suggested by Ray Comfort himself. Or fliers pointing out the flaws in his preface (if it's available online.) Kirk's right, show the students both sides of the argument, and let them decide for themselves. When he and Ray cry persecution, show them their own video, with Kirk saying this. Marc You're right. It's pretty obvious that I didn't think before I posted. Ah well, nothing I can do about it now.

Meh. It happens. Granted I've never done such a thing (just kidding), but it happens. Marc

Speaking of offering a flier as a refutation, I put this together this morning. It's not intended to be comprehensive, but I'm hoping it'll jump start people's thinking. My plan is to send it to the OP link, and see if it can be disseminated to the colleges where this is going on. I'd appreciate if you all would tear it apart and tell me if and where I could do better. Marc Attachments:

Perhaps we should edit the Bible and distribute it Yeah, but a sensible edit would take it from a massive book full of random crap to an average teen angst short story.

I have a terrible feeling that they're going to start quoting their altered version to try to discredit evolution, and if anyone calls them on it, they'll say, "Look at all these major universities that use this exact book!"

What? The book's being distributed for free to students on campus. That does not in any way equate to the university using it as a textbook. ...but then again, Ray Comfort apparently doesn't have time for facts.

As long as 99% of the people they tell about it don't look it up (they won't), it doesn't have to be true. They'll say it. These people are very good at bending the truth just enough to make it seem like whatever they want.
