Who wants to bet that one or all of those four chapters deal with the evolution of the eye or refute other typical creationist canards? That way, they can pass out literature about the "miracle of the eye" at the same time and if anyone questions it they can point to their altered version of "Origins" and yell, "see? its in here!".
I am willing to put $20 on it.

Haha! He's sending it to Johns Hopkins. JHU is one of the premier medical schools around. Now, never having gone to college, I'm assuming biology is a big part chunk of what a future doctor of medicine will be studying. Real bio, that is. Also it's within the realm of possibility that some of these docs will be looking at gene mutations and the like. Studying how a virus or germ evolves. Yeah, a bunch of "Goddidit"s will go over real big there.

It's like altering War and Peace or Anna Karenina and expecting today's college students to read the results. Ain't gonna happen.

Well, maybe if you add zombies. But I doubt that's what they did.

Well, maybe if you add zombies. But I doubt that's what they did. Perhaps if they added Ninjas...Or Pirates... Or a three way battle between pirates, ninjas, and zombies.

Darwin should've written a book on the common ancestry of pirate, zombies and ninjas. He'd be even more of a hero for generations to come.

LIES! science has yet to find a transitional fossil between pirates, zombies and ninjas. just accept Jesus as your savior and admit the Pirazombinjasaurus is a myth.

Also, anybody with even a primitive understanding of science should realise that an idea that does not explain the evidence is not science. The problem is that not everybody has a primitive understanding of science.

I vote we all alter the bible in some way or form. I know Jefferson already beat us to it...okay, how about we just pass out Jeffersonian Bibles and see how THEY like it?

I had been hoping for comments on the article I wrote a few posts back (I suspect no one looked at it because it's an attachment-but it's long enough that I couldn't put it in one post). I'm going to be emailing that to PZ Myers, and see if he feels it's good enough to distro to people on those campuses.
Basically, it refutes some of the arguments that Comfort uses in his introduction, and recommends to people that they do research before deciding whether or not to accept Comfort's ideology.
If someone would be willing to review it (ie, via email or such), please let me know. I don't flatter myself to be an expert debater, so I'd appreciate feedback.
If I don't get feedback, I will email it as is this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Look at it this way.......
We should trust the intellectual rich writing of Darwin to outshine anything added by the likes of Comfort easily. If nothing else Ray is just helping to show people how much of an uneducated idiot he is.
