Mostly retro. 70's and 80's rock and pop. Also, American revolution/civil war patriotic music. Apart from that, I enjoy the occasional song from other genres.
Yeah, consistancy is not my thing...

*Wooden Pints by Korpiklaani* Oh dear, I just have to give my two cents here. I listen quite a lot to different folk influenced metal subgenres and I don't care much about this particular song. So, here are a few other examples of the unholy union between folk and metal genres. Folk metal "Trollish hoedown metal" Pagan metal Viking metal / "Battle metal" Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys. Got it, thanks.

I listen to lots of stuff, most generally rock, metal, or electronica-related.
Love the industrial blanket-genre and all that comes with that.
If I had to name my favorite subgenres right now, they would be post-punk, industrial rock/metal, electro-industrial, and glam rock (not hair stuff, but the real, 70's glam rock like T. Rex and Bowie.)

lately, it's been sludge, doom, and drone metal
hints of shoegaze and post-rock
occasionally, I'll break out some jungle, trip hop, or turntablism

Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys. Got it, thanks. Just to be nitpicky, they are punk, not metal . Flogging Molly are awesome and Murphys have some really good songs, too.

When you say punk you mean pop punk, right?

Viking metal / "Battle metal" Bah, how can you mention viking metal without including the band that virtually created the genre:

When you say punk you mean pop punk, right? For Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys? No.

I would totally disagree, but mostly because I'm biased.

Adding to the list...whatever the hell Primus is. Psychedelic Rock/Funk Metal. And yeah, they're great. I love Cliff Burton, but I'd love to hear what Metallica would have sounded like if Les Claypool won the original bassist spot. Even though that would probably have meant no Primus

I don't believe in genres.
Oh, and I also don't believe in trying to cram a label on the magic that Primus did. =)

Maybe you can figure out my genres by looking at my favourite songs. =3 I am also fond of video game-type musics.

When you say punk you mean pop punk, right? When you asked that, you were joking, right?

When you say punk you mean pop punk, right? When you asked that, you were joking, right? I hope so, based off the response I got.
