Yeah, but I may forget about you. If you wake up to an ad for Brawndo... Sorry?

Does anyone agree that the nords are 'barbarians'? I got into a huge argument about it by saying, no they are not.

They do indeed have a well-established society and culture, but are a bit more brutish than their cousins to the south. However, the Imperials are pretty much just descendants of the Nords. Edit: If you want Tamrilian barbarians, look to Solstheim.

I think it's that Nords and Imperials are both descendants of an earlier human culture, which was not native to Tamriel. Whereas the orcs were elves, dwarves were elves, Redguards were Yokudans, and dark elves had normal skin tones.

Actually, Nords are from Atmora (think a continent version of Svalbard) and imperials are descended from Nords and Nedes (which were tamriel's first men, who were so totally absorbed by other races no one really knows anything about them- they also gave rise to the Bretons).

IMO the term 'Imperial' for an ethnicity is stupid. Call them Cryodiilians, or Midlanders, or anything, but not Imperials.
Especially in light of the current lack of an empire.

It's unfair to say an entire 'race' is a barbarian race, was my argument. "So it's in the snow. So what? Boo hoo. Don't play it then."

They're a race, right? Well they're certainly barbarians. And Australians. In fact, everybody who isn't American and everybody who is both American and brown: barbarians all! AT THE GATES!

I do like the changes the made to how skills develop.
Maybe I'll go magic first this time round, in Oblivion my character was more "I'm the juggernaut!" Barbarian class with heavy armor instead of light armor. He survived much, including falls from the wizard's tower.

How come this wasn't already here?
ps I am starting to wonder if it's bad that all of my messages here can be read as if I was feeling like my avatar...
pps I liked Morrowind, but I should really try to finish Oblivion before I event think about buying Skyrim.

The best part is that HP's video has more views than the first teaser trailer. I'm not joking. New Skyrim trailer. HNNNNNG. Does anyone have a spare cryo unit so I can freeze myself until November? Is it just me, or did 1:32 remind anyone else of AC? None the less, that trailer is orgasmic.
