I'm kind of intrigued by this game just because it's supposed to be a direct sequel to Oblivion, which already has a couple of novels detailing the monumental crapsack the world's turning into as the empire collapses, the Tribunal passes on, the city of Vivec is destroyed, and civil war starts to break out. Fundamental elements of the setting are changing. Should be interesting. Also, snowy.
Pity the trailer won't load for me.

So they are making one? Great, now I can start praying, that they will keep the stile of Morrowing and Oblivion but make it even more modfriendly and more stable than Oblivion.
But it definitely is something I look forward too and as long as they don't change everything I will most likely buy it.

Oh good, it's officially announced. I can start talking about it freely. Known about Skyrim for AGES.

According to one of their tech guys, they're using the same engine from Oblivion and Fallout 3, but heavily improved such that it looks nothing alike. I don't know if that's just PR or what, but I'm really curious to see what's going on with that. From that side of things, the biggest thing for me is absolutely more voice actors; I like the ones they have, particularly the male dark elf (although the male imperial, Wes Johnson, has a great voice, and Lynda Carter does female orcs and nords), but they need more variety. So much more.

I have one question. Will they keep their trademark leveling system? If yes they can kiss my ass.

Meh, I'll get excited when I see something indicating good gameplay. Given how much of a step down from Morrowind Oblivion turned out to be, I don't exactly have high hopes for anything decent.

...more stable than Oblivion. Shouldn't be hard.

I do hope that the story involves some more political intrigue and less good vs evil.
I like my shades of gray.
